Food was good like the selection and they are very helpful at explaining everything to you. They don't rush you and it's all you can eat. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. I highly recommend!

My friend wanted KBBQ so this was the closest spot. Though there may be plenty of eatery spots, for what we were looking for, we picked correctly. AMBIANCE: Parking: It's in a plaza however you're in Convoy so it can get pretty busy so do come early if you need to prep time for parking especially during lunch and dinner hours. Seating: Inside seating, room for maybe 50 people. Great for groups. Vibes: Welcome to Convoy! There are plazas and plazas of good eats! The spot itself is simple. It's nothing too flashy just a few pictures of food and some nice positive quotes displayed around the restaurant. I dig the lite rock music. Great place for group outings or a lowkey date night. FOOD: Meats (Recommend) Wow! It's basically unlimited. The setup is unique too. I'm usually familiar with servers giving you the meats but you basically go and get it yourself - with your choice of how much you want. You have your ground, air, and seafood, enjoy! Sides (Recommend) I really can't provide any recommendations since everything is good here. However, I would try to minimize your carb intake so you have more room for meats. The miso was nice to help digest food. Also, I would recommend trying to save room for frozen yogurt. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Friendly people and helpful! TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Lovely! Great selections, reasonable prices, and a pleasant ambiance. Would I come back here? Most certainly! However in respect I do feel like I should try the other KBBQ spots but if I get too lazy or I need a go to, then this is my spot! TIPS: * Come hungry!

Since coming to this place back in 11' I have yet to find a better All you can BBQ. Probably hit this place 3-4 times a year. Only "complaint" which isn't even about the restaurant is the parking at night is tough. But I guess that's just convoy in general.

Met here for lunch with the fam on a weekday afternoon, pretty convenient that this is the only Korean place open early around 10am! I really like the self serve concept as I feel bad when Korean bbq restaurants bring out all those side dishes and I don't eat much of it. I love seeing all the different sauces I can use and that I can get my own quantity of anything. Lunch was $41 but hey it's all you can eat and came with drinks and dessert. The server was attentive and kept the buffet bar clean. Great experience, I'd probably get here early cause I can see it filling up fast!

Been coming to this place for about two years now since I moved here to San Diego from Hawaii and I have to say the last time we went there last week was really, really disappointed. All the marinated beef and pork. Was bad . Was either spoiled or old even after cooking it, you can smell. It doesn't smell right taste it bad aftertaste that's the sign of bad meat. Needless to say all three of us got sick later with stomach aches really really disappointed. The creamy potato salad was also pretty sour wasn't like that before either and the pickled radish and I think carrots yeah something was something was wrong with that too just didn't taste right I don't know what happened to the food . it used to be really good. Sad to say I'm gonna have to find a new Korean barbecue. I'm never coming back to this place. What a shame so sad because we really really enjoyed this place. I forgot to mention the miso soup was pretty nasty too. Definitely didn't taste like miso soup. PPP think the only thing I can say is when it comes to the marinated meat don't use old meat man make that stuff fresh then we definitely won't have a problem.. I will say the service was fantastic. The servers were very prompt at taking away dishes very friendly always giving us a new grill. Do appreciate that.

Forget the "Ambiance" others have said negative stuff about the inside decor, we went for the food & company. Pay attention to the different food islands & the different sauces, try all? Staff will help keep your grills clean. Watch out for drinks, sodas, beers, whatever! Have a good time, try to go early.

This restaurant has a surprising policy of passing on the credit card fees to the customers, a cost that's usually covered by the place itself. It's an unusual move that makes you wonder if they're trying to take us back to the days of paying with just cash. It's a strange and unwelcome approach that definitely turned us off. We've decided we won't be returning. It's not mentioned anywhere, either.

Overpriced and the quality of food especially the meat was very poor. It costs over $145 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Honestly not worth it. The staff are nice though.Wheelchair accessibility: Not strollers or wheelchair friendly.

This is my go to Korean BBQ. I like the freedom to choose what I want to eat without restrictions or waiting for the server just to eat. No alcohol but that doesn't bother me.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options but it's too pricey to go there for that.

Staff was nice but the food quality was extremely poor. Over priced for what we got. I do not understand how this place has such high ratings. I’ve been to many KBBQ around San Diego and this is the first to ever leave me so unsatisfied. The variety and quality of meats was not worth $40 a person. The shrimp tasted like it was a week old. For a cheaper price and a wider variety - you could go to another kbbq place and have 1000% better. Not trying to be harsh but our expectations for this place weren’t very high and our standards were still not even close to being met. Maybe we came on a bad day but it left a very bad taste in my mouth. We appreciate the wait staff for being patient and nice but this place just let us down food wise.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Jeong Won BBQ. Love that it is self serve buffet style (no waiting for servers to bring more meat!). The staff were very attentive. The food was extremely high quality and fresh. We got here right at 10:30am and there was plenty of parking but when we left at 11:45, it had filled up quite substantially.Highly recommend trying Jeong Won. It is now our new "go to" KBBQ spot. The owner, Sue, was very generous and nice and spoke with us for awhile.Thank you, Sue! We will be back soon.

Had not dined here since before Covid19. Was exactly the same as before. Great little restaurant with a small town island atmosphere. Food and service were great. Look forward to coming back soon. If you come for lunch, get here early because the parking lot can fill up fast.

For $40 a person, the beef shouldn't have been so tough. The lamb tastes like the beef. The steamed egg is imitation. The shrimp, muscles, and squid were pretty good. The tripe was unexpectedly amazing, along with the fish. The place was a bit worn, but the service is top quality with a smile.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of fun signs to read.Wheelchair accessibility: Single level and flat.
