Food was a bit overcooked and bland. A bit pricey as well. Overall the service is great.
Good food. Good service. Slight communication error between server and our table but server and manager remedied it and absolutely took care of us. Will be going back.

Jimmy's Famous American Tavern has been a staple for those stationed at Fleet ASW Point Loma for a number of years!
As a matter of fact, it was 13 years ago when I first stepped foot inside as an E-3 in the Navy, completely oblivious to the culinary treasures San Diego held. I had my first alcoholic beverage and swordfish sandwich here after basic training, which was a moment that can only be remembered as blissful and met with fantastic service. After a 3 year tour in Japan, separation from the military, 4 years running bars/restaurants in Austin Texas, and another 4 years of college, I was able to finally return. This time with the people I love most, my wife and kids.
The food was stellar, environment was peaceful, and the service was nearly as fantastic as I remembered. Overall our experience was wonderful and I can't recommend their grilled fish tacos enough.
Thank you Jimmy's for making our first meal out of the airport... FAMOUS!

Ordered old fashioned and mai tai, liked the old fashioned
Ordered the $22 fish sandwich, the bread slices were over toasted and both crunchy croutons sadly! Hopefully they arent supposed to be that way otherwise i cant recommend it, zero softness to the bread, but the ranch dressing for the salad was very good

We went there for Mother's my choice. Had been there years ago for my sons birthday. The food was delicious service was great. Drinks refilled without asking even though they were very busy. Highly recommend. Walked around after our meal and enjoyed the view. Won't wait so long to go back.

We went to Jimmy’s to celebrate Mother’s Day. Or waiter, Jordan, was attentive, friendly, and made our experience at Jimmy’s a great one! All the staff were wonderful. I would highly recommend this place for the views, food, and great service.

Really liked this place had outdoor and indoor seating. Our waiter was so nice and attentive and everybody else in the staff was really good. I got the grilled fish sandwich and it was perfect. Fish was nice and juicy sourdough breading was crisp and cooked well.
