The elevators are tricky at first. 1) make sure you are at the right bank of elevators - they don’t all go for same floors. 2) select your floor. 3) Then tap your room key. Enjoy your stay!

We have stayed at Hyatt numerous times over the last 20 years and have seen the hotel add the second tower, turn over numerous restaurants, and make many other changes. They added the "Market One Cafe" to the lobby a few years ago. It is a good addition to the hotel. The cafe is a mix of a Starbucks style coffee shop, a concession stand/food court style restaurant, and the convenience store that most hotels/motels have for snacks and personal items. However, the cafe does not have the personal items, only the snacks. They have a limited but sufficient menu of appetizer and main entry items for the non-snack items. They also have a refrigerator section with drinks, salads, sandwiches, parfaits, and other typical Starbucks type items. The service here is hit and miss and likely the negative revviews have to do with the service. The people who work here generally have a bad attitude and must be underpaid or treated poorly by the customers and/or management. Most of them really seem like they hate the customers and do not want to be there. The food is also VERY slow to come out. We did not, but we observed that others who ordered pizza especially had to wait a long time, which is typical for pizza, but unexpected for a place of this style--hopefully the pizza was pizza restaurant quality after a wait like that. The reason for the 4 stars is that the quality of the food once you get it was surprisingly good. We have tried their chocolate cake and fruit tart several times and they are better than many bakeries that make comparable items. We also tried their ceasar salad, rubbed chicken wings, pretzel bites, oatmeal, and avacado toast. Tastes vary, but for us, the chicekn wings were some of the best we have ever had anywhere. The oatmel was equivalent to two servings of Starbucks' oatmeal and came with sides of raisins, pecans, and brown sugar. The avocado toast was topped with sweet onions, tomatoes, some type of greens, and a generous amount of avacoado. Surprisingly, the sweet onions really made the toast very good. The ceasar salad was not spetacular, but was a good salad. The pretzel bites were overcooked and were a little tough--easily fixed by them if they just cooked them at a lower temperature and for a little less time. The prices are expensive, but comparable or cheaper than other places in this tourist area. If you want a quick bite, do not want to leave the hotel, and do not want a sit down restaurant (they have no seating) or want to take your food back to your room to eat, then this is a great place to try. Just be patient with the staff and the wait as both will try your patience.

If you're looking for breakfast, be careful to get here well before the published ending time for breakfast, they say breakfast goes to 11, but actually it's more like 10:30. Plan accordingly!

Market One Cafe was literally the highlight of my time at The Hyatt Manchester. Let me tell you why!So I traveled to San Diego with my husband and my baby a couple weeks ago for some conferences, and stayed at The Hyatt for an entire week. This was my first time traveling with a baby, and needless to say, I was not prepared for it. During the first 24 hours I realized how difficult it was to purchase food that was actually adequate for a 14 month old in the area that we were. That is when Market One Cafe came to my rescue! This little cafe had fruit, plain chicken breasts, yogurt and other items my baby could actually eat. Yes, I did pay premium price for this, but when you have a starving hangry baby you'll pay whatever price is needed. Besides that, the staff at Market One Cafe was literally the NICEST in the entire hotel. The ladies working there were so helpful and by the end of the week I was sad to say goodbye. Thank you to the entire staff at Market One Cafe for keeping my baby fed and happy during my trip to San Diego!

They have all the basics to keep my hunger and thirst satisfied. I enjoyed ceasar salad, chicken tenders, yam fries, banana and tried a few drinks.Everything was good and service was great. The products are twice as expensive as you would get from a grocery store. For example, I bought bananas for 65 cents per pound from Ralphs the day I bought one banana for $1.5 from this placeVegetarian options: Ceasar salad was fresh

A bit expensive but the ladies are very friendly and the breakfast is top notch!

Typical overpriced hotel food and snacks, you're paying for the convenience. The hotel does give you a $10 nightly credit to use at Market One, which I used for a bowl of soup ($10 each) each night. The soup was pretty good, but I would not have gotten it if not for the hotel credit. Friendly staff.

Expensive and overpriced...not that surprising since you are paying for convenience..but $12 for a bagel and cream cheese is just a huge ripoff.
