I have a love and hate relationship with Max’s chicken Restaurant. I love their food (fried chicken whole $16 and large garlic fried rice $8). But their service in this location San Diego and Las Vegas are consistent with each other, service is so bad.
* When you walk in, most of the time there’s no hostess
* For some reason their employees are always inside the kitchen. It’s so hard to find someone to ask for the check, to go box and refill on waters.

Max's Restaurant San Diego, Cuisine of the Philippines, offers a delightful dining experience. The high-quality Filipino cuisine, served banquet-style for private parties, is a highlight. The restaurant's atmosphere is great, making it a popular spot. While prices may be on the higher end, the quality justifies the cost. Must-try dishes include pancit, chicken adobo, and sisig.
Customers praise the diverse menu, with many good options to choose from. Popular dishes include Pansit Palabok, Kare-Kare, Lumpia, and Beef Caldereta. The beef is described as very tender and homemade-tasting, while the curry sauce is creamy and flavorful. The Palabok is considered the best customers have tried.
The whole spring chicken is also well-received, though not everyone's preference. Customers note the high prices, but believe the quality of the made-to-order dishes makes up for it, compared to dishes at turo turo (Filipino buffet-style) restaurants. The service, cleanliness, and authentic Filipino flavors keep customers coming back.
