Mission Brewing at Sky Deck was our first brewery stop during a visit to San Diego. Located on the upper level of the Sky Deck food hall at Del Mar Highlands Town Center, it offers a relaxed setting with nice views of the surrounding area.

I love the idea of the sky deck. I always bring food from the plaza and grab a beer up here at the same time. I sometimes used to go to Harland across the street but they closed. On the sky deck, I usually choose here over the other two breweries next to Mission because of the selection, but the prices for pints here are expansive. Good views and tasty beers. I had a flight with the Seltzer, blonde, hefeweizen, and Mexican larger. They were all good, but the lager was my favorite - very flavorful! I also liked that it was kind of separated from the rest of the shopping and food areas, so there weren't a ton of kids running around (definitely a better, more adult vibe than some other breweries that I've visited). I will for sure be back 👍🏻

The Old Mission Lager stands out for its crisp, refreshing flavor. Other favorites include Pacific Passage Japanese lager, Seltzer, blonde, hefeweizen, and Mexican larger. The lager is very flavorful. The location is separated from the rest of the shopping and food areas, so there are not a ton of kids running around, giving it a better, more adult vibe than some other breweries. Prices for pints are expansive. The staff is upbeat, friendly, welcoming, and kind, providing great beer recommendations and knowledgeable service. It is a nice place to relax with a beer and enjoy the view while visiting Sky Deck.
