A not so hidden gem in OB, every time I need a little break, I find myself coming here for a relaxing breakfast at the pier. The food is hearty and comforting, the service has been great every time, the views and ambiance are the winner here. Chill, local vibe, one of my favorite places in SD

I have been coming to the O.B. pier Cafe ever since I arrived in San Diego over 40 years ago, and not much has changed. The owners and the staff that run this rustic Cafe are wonderful and accommodating people. The food is consistently good and the prices - for this day and age - are reasonable. Don't expect tablecloths and silverware. Far from it. But what is omitted in fancy dining is more than made up in rustic charm, and a world class view of the Southern California coastline.The experience is highly recommended .

My last visit, 1975, though living here..was waiting for city 2 to allow customers..excellent summer days reward.. history lessons on the walls, basic menu with multitude of choices..great waiter n chef staffing..prompt service..affordable..enough 2 take a box home..Local folks, let's turn out for this outstanding family landmark

Run down low in king place. arrived 20 minutes before supposed closing at 8pm. Wanted to order to go. Was denied service and told they close when when business drops. Unbelievable. I paid $20 for parking and couldn’t even eat dinner. Hello. There’s no parking and hours of operation should be modified to include hours that day may include earlier closure. Wasted $20 for parking just turned away. Call first. Do yourself a favor. Save the money. Eat elsewhere.

The first place that I visited on my trip to San Diego was this cafe. My lunch was amazing and the service was excellent. Ruth even helped me and my sister navigate our way to the bus stop so that we could get to our hotel safely. The food, service, and scenery were all amazing. I definitely recommend this cafe!!

No wait 9am on Sunday morning. Lovely little cafe over the ocean with nice traditional styling. Happy to be here after they were closed for 6 months. Reopened as of 7/4

We stayed a week in OB a block from the beach. We ate breakfast at the cafe on Friday morning after thanksgiving. The views were great and the service was great. I would recommend the blueberry , n banana nut specialty pancakes , The bacon and the potatoes were awesome.

Awesome place with great and very nice staff! Absolutely relaxing summer time vibes even during November ?. If you like fresh seafood or flavors tacos it is the perfect place for you. It’s the best place to experience perfect food and watch breathtaking sunset. The only thing you need to be aware is that the portions are huge ?

This is the place where I can stay hours with my hot chocolate ?. I was excited to grab a seat by the window so I could get this beautiful view. Service was good and he was checking on every customer. Loved that Quesadilla (i got the regular one with cheese) and i had cheese cake which was good too.This view is .

Unique place to dine, un matched view, inside and outdoor seating, quick and friendly service, good lobster tacos, quite a menu to choose, friendly and quick service, good portions, reasonable price, no wait time at Sunday noon. Recommended. Focus on Mexican dishes, you won't be disappointed.
