Very nice! Corkage free is big plus. The service was also nice. Risotto Ai Funghi Porcini was enough for 2 ppl and Spaghetti alle Vongole has an exceptional quality. I would recommend!

Great little Italian osteria!! The pasta dishes are so so yummy! Try the pappardelle ai porcini and the whole fish, it feels like being back home Great service by Sara and was great to meet chef Christian!

Absolutely delicious! The food here is amazing. The ingredients are simple and everything tastes amazingly fresh. Each dish was extremely well executed, the pastas were extremely flavorful and not greasy or too heavy feeling. The burrata was delicious and perfectly accompanied by the tomatoes and the homemade focaccia. The BYOB situation is also a huge plus. We got to bring our favorite wine and they kindly provided both a corkscrew and glasses. Service was great and I felt as though I was eating in a small mom and pop restaurant in Italy. I'm already planning our next date night here!

Fantastic, authentic Italian food. Staff were awesome, warm, and inviting. BYOB. We went with the ravioli special which was cooked perfectly and tasty. I will be returning to try the risotto.

We are here from Vegas and wanted a good Italian dinner! This place was a nice surprise. An old little house converted to a restaurant!! So cute, family owned and ran. The whole meal was delicious.. homemade pastas, and the pizza was excellent! The house bread was a huge hit too. You can bring your own wine !! We will def come back next time we're in town.

The FOOD!!! (TEN/10!) The SERVICE!!! (TEN/10!) What a find! The seafood risotto is absolutely incredible and enough for four. BYOB and head over on an off night at an off time... because otherwise this place will leave you wishing San Diegans were as soft spoken as Parisians. It's painfully noisy... but the food and owners are worth a return. Just make it early, trust me.

It truly feels like home :,) we frequent oltre mare for the amazing pizza and BYOB wine but stay for the friendly service and incredibly cozy ambiance. We need more places like this in PB and your spot is our go-to. Absolute gem! Thanks as always for the amazing food and hospitality for our larger groups!

I have a favorite cozy Italian trattoria situated just above Mission Bay. I can't tell you enough how kind and welcoming the people are there! BYOB was a huge plus. There's a liquor/wine store just a couple blocks up if you end up going unprepared like we did after a trip to Sea World just a few miles away. Will be going there almost every trip down to that part of SD!

Overall I enjoyed Oltre Mar and I would return. However there are a few things to keep in mind: -Super small and cramped. Make a reservation or you may have to wait a while. -If you're claustrophobic or don't like sitting packed in a room where you feel like the next table is sitting with you, this is not the restaurant for you. -Can be loud due to small cramped dining area. -Also if you're not into seafood you're out of luck since the menu is all seafood with very few if any alternatives. -There was a braised beef special, but they were all out the night we went.
