Authentic Italian food by the beach! Quick service and COVID compliant! We have been to the sister restaurant Oltre Mare and were happy to check out this takeout place. The same great taste as the full service restaurant! We will be back. So tasty!

Pastiamo is an authentic Italian restaurant in San Diego recommended for its fresh pasta, both long and short shapes, served with some of the most famous Italian sauces. The carbonara is absolutely fantastic, and the Bolognese (ragù) is also excellent, tasting just like homemade food. The Rigatoni carbonara is delicious and perfectly cooked, with crispy bacon and care in how the sauce was prepared. The pappardelle noodles with pesto and grilled chicken taste so fresh and are perfectly cooked. The chicken pesto with parmesean cheese on top comes as a nice big plate of food for the price. The establishment offers great customer service with a smile, good conversation, and great service. While the location may present some challenges, particularly with parking, it offers a compelling option for those seeking a prompt meal. The freshly prepared pasta is a standout feature, and the overall ambiance is conducive to a quick dining experience. The place is clean, the service is fast, and the prices are fair. Above all, the flavors are authentic Italian. For both dine in and take out, this is a place to return to over and over.
