Mexican food at this spot - very tasty. Good place to hang and eat some good food. The service was very friendly and kind. Prices are reasonable I would say.

We were wondering around downtown looking for an open brunch spot and stumbled on Patrons. Not only did they take care of us when staff was running a little behind but the FOOD, DRINKS, and SERVICE was amazing. Bottomless Mimosas and the chorizo benidict was greets. There were three other dishes everyone loved. Was a perfect brunch spot. Feel like it may be a little hidden gem.

My fiancé and I have been wanting to come here for a while because the exterior is so cute and it looks like a great place for a marg. We finally came and we were right — the margs are amazing! Also, the food is delicious. Best Mexican we’ve had in San Diego and there’s even a separate vegan menu. The staff was friendly and attentive too. Highly recommend! We enjoyed it so much, we’re sitting in the restaurant leaving reviews. That should tell you something! Looking forward to coming here again and again.

Buss boy killed it! He was the best. Took our orders and literally completely served us but kept reporting to the server who acted like he was gods gift to earth. Had to give him 10 dollars cash cause didn't want any money going to the server. This place is really confusing. Food was alright but kinda messed up our order but makes sense since the busboy who barely spoke English had to take our orders.

Not a review of the food (which was fine and average) but of the restaurant's disregard of pandemic protocol. We sat for a drink and tacos in the outside seating section. The server who greeted us was not wearing a mask, as is currently required of food service employees in San Diego. He immediately told us that we could relax and take our masks off while dining outside. I said, "maybe when you put yours on," to which he chuckled as if he and I were in on the same joke--it was not funny. He took our orders without wearing a mask and we observed him through the window making our drinks behind the bar without wearing a mask, and he returned from the kitchen without a mask carrying our food across the dining room and served us without wearing a mask. He stood very close and leaned across the table to put down plates and continually checked in on us, speaking closely without covering his mouth in any fashion. He did not appear sick, which is not the point. The virus is still rapidly spreading and food establishments that choose to be open are being asked to follow strict guidelines to ensure public safety. The flagrant disregard of those guidelines at Patron's Corner last night, made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. I don't enjoy writing and don't lightly post negative reviews, but I felt like anyone who is concerned with the compliance of public health guidelines during this unprecedented crisis would do well to be forewarned when researching this restaurant.

First time had lunch here today and wish this new restaurant good luck. I had tenderloin tacos, juicy with nice flavor. Like modern design (it was sad Chinese before) and china. They have breakfast too and this is going to be major!

We ordered several tacos, beans and rice overall we thought the tacos were pretty bland. There wasn't anything particularly special about them. Rice and beans were average/normal also nothing special about them. We live downtown so there are plenty of places to try. We'll keep looking for good tacos downtown.

Great service and atmosphere. Great Mexican food. Slightly westernized but still good.

This is not a review of the food, but rather of booking (and unfortunately canceling) an event there. As part of a large work-related conference, I looked for a restaurant close to the convention center that would accommodate our group of around 30 people for a standing reception. Yelp led me to Patron's Corner. Paul (the owner) was very responsive via email and lovely on the phone. We talked food, drinks, and he seemed to really care about making sure we had a great time! We have a group with dietary restrictions that include gluten-free and vegan needs (as well as a bunch of foodies and meat lovers), and they were very flexible and accommodating with the menu options. I thought their pricing was very reasonable as well. Unfortunately, the conference got canceled due to COVID-19, and so we had to cancel the reception. But I am 100% certain that we picked a great place, and would not hesitate to book an event there again in the future!
