Matcha einspanner was sooo yummy. Creamy smooth matcha and really refreshing. Three sweet levels available for matchas, I got the less sweet option and it was perfect. Also tried the salted cold foam coffee. It was good but we were really big fans of the matcha and how smooth it was. If we come back, it’s definitely for the solid matcha.

their matcha is SOOOO good here im not even kidding like you can really taste it i was blown away highly highly recommend their biscoff matcha and #comingback
Before coming here, be aware that they serve Vietnamese coffee and do not have a classic espresso bar in the sense of getting straight espresso shots, Americanos, flat whites, and that sort of thing. This is high-caffeine, high-sugar Vietnamese rocket fuel.

Phinology Coffee is one of the newer coffee shops in San Diego and a sister shop of Yun Tea next door. The staff is super nice and welcoming. The interior is beautifully designed with a cozy, relaxing, and calm atmosphere, making it a great place to sit, chat, study, or get work done, with plenty of tables, seats, and outlets. Service is prompt, courteous, and solid. The coffee is decent with reasonable prices, and the drinks are incredibly well made with bold, smooth flavors that really showcase Vietnamese coffee. The Biscoff Foam and Einspanner coffee were fantastic, and the Ube Vietnamese Coffee was really good with a strong coffee flavor. The Strawberry Matcha drink comes with oatmilk and is good and refreshing. The Biscoff Matcha is best with regular sweet. Parking is plenty, but you'll have to pay if you stay longer than 15 minutes. It’s a popular spot that starts to pick up around 10 am, and it’s definitely worth a visit.
