Nice place. I'm an introvert. It wasn't too big. It wasn't too crowded. I thought for a Saturday night there would be more people.I'm a picky eater so I tend to stick to plain foods. I had the catfish nuggets and fries which were scrumptious. They were seasoned very well.The band was good.I'll probably go back regularly for the food and to hear more bands.
Felt like listening to music after dinner one night so we dropped in to check it out. Len Rainy was performing & they were awesome! The venue was almost completely full. We got lucky and found an empty table. The saxophonist was amazing as he’d wander into the audience playing right in your face up close & personal. It made quite an impression on me. Next time we will just have dinner here and enjoy the show!
We looked online for live blues and Proud Mary came up. It's in a building attached to the Ramada by Wyndham San Diego North and looks like a little dive bar. It's also a little tired looking on the inside but that's part of its charm. We had the catfish nuggets, shrimp & grits, the steamed mussels (a huge serving), and a side of greens. Everything was served piping hot, which I appreciated, and perfectly cooked. Cornbread was supposed to come with the mussels...
