Roma Norte is a cocktail bar and lounge located at Seaport Village, next to Puesto, with which it is affiliated. It is a beautifully and uniquely decorated space, featuring Mexican art stenciled on the walls, a moody, low-lit, and perfect vibe that feels like a cocktail bar in Mexico City. There is a big seating area at the bar and a good number of tables.
The bar is acclaimed for its world-class, creative, fun, yet approachable cocktails, which are well-balanced, refreshing, and executed with perfection and an attention to detail. The menu includes excellent options like Margaritas, Old Fashioneds, Espresso Martinis, and the Mezcallin #3, with creative and well-executed non-alcoholic offerings as well. The bar uses liquid nitrogen to chill glassware. While prices are on the high end, the happy hour from 5-6pm, even on Saturdays, offers a sweet deal with $10 drinks.
In addition to drinks, Roma Norte offers some small plates and food. The food is fabulous, including crunchy and hearty corn chips with chunky guacamole, a mini burrito filled with short rib and potatoes described as unmatched, and tacos available on Tuesdays. The service is amazing, welcoming, and helpful, with staff making thoughtful recommendations. It is a perfect place for cocktails and small plates, ideal for a date night or a gathering, though reservations are suggested for weekends or parties larger than two.
