I love SD Brew Co! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the food is great and there is always a new special, and the variety of drinks leaves you always wanting to try something new. As a big craft beer, the selection is amazing but the cocktails are so good I can't stay away from them. The purple ranch water is so cool!

Advertised as a way ch party for SDFC. Wait staff acted like our party was wrong for asking them to put the sound on. Out food was delayed and the waiter was really sarcastic!

Changed quite a bit. No table service had to stand in line to order. Food was brought to the table. Party of three and two got their wings right away. The nachos came as the other two finished their wings. There were fans of SDFC and the volume of the TVs made it difficult to visit. Not a great experience.

Food can out fast considering how busy it was. There was a little league team present which was chaotic. Pizza was good. Wings were okay, but they shorted us one of our 15. The local beers and seltzers were meh.

It’s even better since the new owner & remodel!

This has been turned into a cafeteria dining experience. You order at the cash register when you come in, you get your own drinks and silverware and seat yourself. They deliver your food to your table but you wait on yourself if you need a refill or something additional. The food selection has more variety than the usual fried fare found at most sports bars. The Pepita Pesto pizza was good, but spicy and a bit sour, imo it would be elevated by adding a drizzle of Mexican Crema or some goat cheese to balance the spice and sour. The remodel has opened everything up to include outdoor seating with open walls to the outside and a concrete floor. At only 25% capacity, this place is EXTREMELY loud. During a sporting event, bring earplugs.

Vegetarian options: Several non vegan options

The beers in the food are always good here. Also the cocktails. They have 20% off wings on Wednesdays.

Cowles IPA (pronounced wrong by the bartender btw) is decent, the wings are just ok, and the order at the counter service is very impersonal. That said it’s a great space now, has a full bar and some of the other food looks good. Kid and dog friendly, plenty of parking and lots of TVs. I’m sold on the improvements, but I think they could be doing some things better. It’s a little sterile and lacking character but I’ll be back for sure. Pliny on tap gets them some cred in my book.

7:30 pm in San Diego area with an 18 hungry teen we decided to jump here and it’s a Monday, and they have happy hour all day with $5 beers so we tried a few because we really were looking to drink but we were hungry and we wanted to try the place. The catch, the $5 beers were all commercial beers not the house made. So going to a brewery and not have their house beers was not really an option for us.
They were very pleasant and welcoming, we got our order in and went to our table enjoy our food : sweet potachoes with brisket to share and the Prime rib dip combo .
For drink: house recommendations was the hey cerveza man! as I am a light drinker, and pint blueberry wheat, and a cup of hot chocolate for the teen. We Tried the SD night scene #1 that looks like it was not the same price as the rest of the beer and it’s was not as strong as it looked, it smelled like dark chocolate to me. Overall it was tasty and welcoming we would gladly return.

Vegetarian options: They have quite a few options, it’s SD a lot of vegan and vegetarian options in the area, this was not the exception.

Kid-friendliness: Yes it’s kid friendly

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, all welcome

San Diego Brewing is one of the best restaurants in San Diego. The new owners that took over a couple years ago have made it such a warm and welcoming place to catch a game or have a fun night out with someone special.

The food is amazing, the beer is delicious and all the staff are as kind as can be.

If you catch the owner in the store he always makes sure to say hi and help out. As a local I absolutely love this place.
