This is my go-to restaurant in San Diego. Not a chain, just a family friendly restaurant with nice décor, good service and freshly cooked food featuring Greek specials. Try the Greek Green Beans! Gyro's available and, of course, spanakopita or moussaka. They even flame out the saganaki at your table. A buddy and I had dinner at Troy's Greek Restaurant on Monday evening, November 6th, 2023, to celebrate his birthday. I've personally been a regular patron of this restaurant for decades actually though not so much in recent years as I no longer live in the Allied Gardens area. Living in the Mission Hills area is no excuse for not frequenting this amazing restaurant more often! Troy was a great Greek restaurant. While the ambiance gives you an older and more usury feel, the food itself is delicious. The service was fast and they accommodated our party of 12. If you're looking for a good meal and a nice local place to try, check out Troy's. I had the BBQ Chicken and the sauce was *chef's kiss*.
