Kid-friendliness: Have a kids menu and the portions on it were HUGE. Lots of space inside and kid friendly. Servers knew to bring the kids food first and let the kids order themselves. Booths were helpful for kids as well.
Very generous with their servings. The food is very satisfying. The service was excellent. They went above and beyond. I definitely plan on making a return to try some more of their pie. I also appreciated the old-school style of this place. Truly iconic.
Our family has enjoyed the Chicken Pie Shop since the 1950s when it was still in the Hillcrest community. The food is still delicious. It is fresh, hot, and plentiful. This time, we got our meals to-go. It stayed good and hot on the drive home to Poway from North Park. It's the very definition of comfort food. There's a separate ordering counter for take-out. The staff was very friendly and they were FAST! I don't think we even waited five minutes...maybe closer...
