The food was very good and the restaurant is clean and well styled. The complementary snacks and sauce bar really elevated the experience. I love that this place is à la carte and reasonably priced.

Amazing! We came in at 9:40 and the restaurant is scheduled to close at 10:30. They let us sit and eat and were very accommodating.

We recently visited this hot pot restaurant in San Diego and was disturbed to see pig brain on the menu. Scientifically, consuming pig brain can expose you to prions—mutated proteins that cause fatal, untreatable brain diseases. These diseases can stay hidden in your body for years before symptoms even show.

But there’s something even more unsettling: we’ve been trained to hide the truth from ourselves. We say ‘pork’ instead of pig, ‘beef’ instead of cow, because if we faced it honestly—the fear in their eyes, the life taken—we couldn’t stomach it. And the part of us that feels empathy for animals is the same part that makes us human.

One of the best hot pot places in San Diego. The food is very authentic and delicious. The place is à la carte menu featuring an assortment of vegetables, meats, noodles and others. The quality of beef and lamb is great and delicious. The shrimp paste on the appetizer menu is also delicious and my favorite thing to get here.

The sauce bar is by far the best part featuring a delicious array of sauces that imo beats out other hot pot places in San Diego. The mini snacks and desserts are also a nice addition to serve as a palate cleanser or appetizer.

The price is par for the course for hotpot these days sitting around $25-50 depending on how much you order. The parking is also absolutely atrocious these days so definitely try to arrive early just to find street parking. Don't even bother with the parking lot here.

My favorite hotpot restaurant in San Diego. Just get the regular meat, skip the spicy ones.

Over priced menu and poor services. Food is just so so, not as good as Haidilao. Avoid if you can.

Good hot pot spot. Friendly & informative staff was very helpful in explaining the process & making suggestions for new comers. Many free side dish options. Make your own sauces. Good selection of meat options. Overall great experience. They have larger tables in the third section for larger groups.

A customer found a cockroach in the food and had taken photo of it and posted it a Yelp. This tells me they have uncontrolled cockroach infestation that likely crawls all over the food that they serve to you.

They are supposed to be checked for this but another restaurant like China Buffet in Concord was also shown to have many cockroaches in their kitchen and improper food handling according to the news. There were over 100 violations. Not sure how they were able to operate this long with these many noncompliances.

We ate at Great Good Buffet in Pacific Beach a long time ago & there were baby cockroaches out crawling on our seat that made me run away. If cockroaches are seen in the daytime like this, it means they have uncontrolled infestations. Very gross.

Used to be my favorite hot pasta thought in San Diego but last night we came around 9 PM the waitress don’t really come to the room for service. We have to wait to get things all the time we didn’t finish dinner and that they were in the back to have a dinner so our plate was empty and nobody came to service us. Google maps shows they’re closed time is 1030. They open the door during winter so we have to have a dinner with the coat air hitting in.

One of the most important reason I don’t go to Heidi lol but here because Heidi lol has a very expensive price but very little food
But now they have only five pieces of meat in their combo as same as haidilao. So I prefer go to how you get a better service.

The atmosphere is very good and the service is better. There is a little brother named Tian who has very good service. The hot pot is also very delicious and authentic. We are Chengdu people and we all think it tastes good.

Second time visiting, this time for family's birthdays! 🎂

A little on the pricier end for a hot pot place, but overall still a wonderful experience. They really capture that authentic Chinese style, and I can speak personally being first generation.

The portions are decent and the quality of the items are very high! There are even some more exotic choices (pig brain, goose intestine, wagyu) you won't find at others. There is also a paid sauce bar ($3 per person, all must pay) and an area with free snacks next to it. As always I picked the tomato broth with bone broth as the secondary. The method of delivery here is similar to most others, but they have you fill out a large form for your requested items (you'll see it in other reviews) and they will be brought over. Some of my favorites would have to be the quail eggs, cuttlefish, and money pouch (left out the red meats since those are obvious choices). They also have something called the Kung Fu cucumber that's basically one that has gone though a mandolin and presented nicely.

My only complaints would be that they don't let you split the flavor broths into more than two per table. Also there are only two non-spicy flavors and I believe there were three different spicy levels for the hot one, some more flavors would have been nice.

The parking is also painful as the shopping areas nearby have started hiring guards to watch customers to make sure they only enter those stores and not to cross the street etc.

Sadly I forgot to take some photos myself, but I trust the photo gallery on Google will be more than satisfactory. Definitely try this place at least once! One of the best food sites on Convoy for sure.

Vegetarian options: It's a hot pot place! Sadly vegetarians aren't really their target audience, but the broth choice can have no meat and you can pick the items that work for you.

Parking: It's Convoy, it's gonna be bad unless you get lucky

Wheelchair accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible
