About Somisomi

Somisomi is a dessert spot at UTC that many people walk by before finally popping in, and it often becomes a must-go. The staff are friendly, the soft serve is awesome, and the prices are super reasonable for San Diego. The soft serve is creamy, smooth and flavorful, with ube and chocolate among the flavors. The fish-shaped cone is the star of the show, super cute and worth trying at least once. The strawberry milk is amazing, fresh and yummy. One person had an upside-down with ube ice cream, red bean filling and coconut flakes, and liked the crispy and chewy waffle cone, though the macaron wasn't great. Another got the milk and ube swirl with toasted coconut and Biscoff topping, plus black sesame in the fish. The cup serving is a large portion and at $4.50 it's a deal. The presentation is fun and aesthetic, though there's better ice cream elsewhere in the mall.
