Visited this place on a weeknight with no wait. Both friendly, attentive service and excellent food. The grilled pork was the perfect way to start the meal - the pork was succulent with the side sauce and veggies balancing the juiciness of the meat. The braised beef from the Panang curry melts in your mouth from how soft it is. My favorite of the evening was the steak and fried rice - the beef tallow that it’s fried in comes through in every bite and tastes even better...
We loved the Thai food at Sovereign Modern Thai Cuisine in East Village! It makes sense why it is Michelin recognized. The braised beef panang, duck curry noodles, and Thai iced tea were all delicious. Nice ambiance and chill vibe, we really enjoyed a Saturday lunch. Excellent and friendly service. Dog friendly. Highly recommend!
This was a gem of a find. Zaki and staff are so awesome! All the recommendations Zaki gave were on point! I was able to try the Thai style ramen and the duck curry. I also tried the mango sticky rice! They were all very tasty!
When I’m back in town I will definitely come back and try whatever is the new item on the rotating menu :)
