Great overall. The food is good, the service is good and the environment is very nice.

The food was amazing. Celebrated my birthday today and was blown away. I had the fusilli with bolognese. It was amazing. Everything made by scratch in house & fresh. The calamari is a must have. Get it & you will not be disappointed. Last but certainly not least the birthday tiramisu was HEAVEN! I could eat that everyday without any regrets. Go. Run. You won’t be disappointed.

This was the worst birthday dinner experience the pizza was trash and did not look like the Margherita pizza we ordered it seemed more like a plain cheese pizza you get from Little Caesar’s the gnocchi tasted like straight up masa

Our total came to $118, and we didn’t even order dessert we were so disappointed with the food and overall experience that we just wanted to leave unfortunately this was not the birthday dinner we were hoping for

A friend of mine who's a regular invited me to Don Pietro's grand reopening, and I'm so glad he did. From the second we walked in, it honestly felt like we got transported to Italy. The renovation is gorgeous, the vibe is immaculate, and the whole place just feels warm and inviting.

The food was incredible and came out surprisingly fast, even with the restaurant completely packed. The drinks were also 10/10.

Huge shoutout to Juan, our server and bartender. He was an absolute rockstar all night. He remembered everyone's orders without missing a beat, made amazing drinks, and somehow still made us feel like we were his only table even when the place was buzzing. That's the kind of service you don't forget.

The reopening itself was such a good time. Three DJs kept the energy up all night, and every single person working there was genuinely welcoming and happy to be there. You could really feel it.

I've lived in San Diego for 10 years and have been to a lot of restaurants, but this was easily one of the most fun and memorable nights I've had. Don Pietro definitely gained a new regular, and I'll 100% be bringing more friends back.

Visited with my friends for their grand re-opening. It was such a great time! The food was delicious and our server Juan did an incredible job of making us feel at home. The DJ was playing the best music. This will definitely be a new regular spot for us!

Such a lovely atmosphere to enjoy a nice dinner in. The restaurant itself is so chic with both an indoor and outdoor space that is so vibey, we loved having a chill weeknight dinner here. All the food tasted so fresh and light, so make sure you save room for dessert because the panna cotta and tiramisu are the perfect cap to your meal (with a limoncello shot of course). If you like espresso, I definitely recommend the tiramisu, as it had a nice, strong flavor. Our server, Andrea, was so knowledgeable about the menu and made sure we were taken care of all night, he was a wonderful presence!

Dined here few weeks back with some business partners. We split the tab- was given the wrong receipts- have been trying to connect with restaurant to obtain correct copies and get ZERO answer- also worth noting they like to throw in a 22% Service Charge with no explanation-TIP and still have the tip buttons upon checkout-worth noting we were a party of 4....!the food was simply OK....nothing to rave about or warrant a must come back.

Very nice italian restaurant with great atmosphere and kind servers ! Me and my gf have had very good time. We ordered pasta bolognese and lasagna. Although, meal offer (except the pastas) could be expanded a little !

Perfect Italian Find in Old Town!
The food here is absolutely on point. I had the Rigatoni in a rich, velvety Rosa cream sauce, and Jeff suggested adding shrimp—it completely elevated the dish and made it over-the-top wonderful! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his classic Chicken Parmesan and pasta. For dessert, the tiramisu was pure indulgence. Juan behind the bar crafted flawless, excellent cocktails, and Jeff took excellent care of us throughout the night, offering fantastic recommendations. Jeff made this a lovely, refreshing and deliciouschange from the usual cuisine in the area. We will definitely be back!

Great Food and Great Drinks
If you want excellent Italian food, this is the spot. The Chicken Parmesan was exactly what it should be, and my wife loved the shrimp Jeff suggested adding to her rigatoni. The drinks are excellent; Juan at the bar really knows what he’s doing and mixes a great cocktail. Jeff took excellent care of us at the table and kept things running perfectly without overcomplicating the meal. Juan and the staff run a tight ship here. Glad we stopped in.

Ah-mazimg food!! Just came after the reopening. Juan at the bar mixed me the Sicilian spritz—delicious 🍹and I had the salmon in pistachio crème sauce. Incredible ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My wife and I just ate here for a date night and everything was amazing from the food, the service, and the ambiance. The restaurant is beautifully decorated by the way. I ordered the linguine vongole (I asked for seafood mix instead of just clams and they were happy to do that) and it was delicious! Lots of flavor with a little bit of spice. My wife enjoyed her chicken parm as well. We will definitely be back whenever we’re in the mood for some authentic Italian.
