We were welcomed by a smiling friendly hostess. Our waitress was most helpful with food as well as wine recommendations. The garlic bread was outstanding and don't leave without trying it. Our food was delicious, and we enjoyed the entire evening. The music was a tad loud but we adjusted and you know what they say about "if the music is too loud...." Will return for sure! Thank you for the wonderful customer service

You won't hear here that we don't have it, we can't, or it's out of stock. Everything is very tasty, beautiful, and the service is very pleasant, especially from the waiter named Jeff.

I go quite often and have always enjoyed the food and service. My dinner with guests the other night was not good. The waiter got the order wrong and the communication was terrible. In addition I had the chicken parm and it was burnt on one side. I hope this was just a bad night for them.

Came here for a birthday and was greeted by a lovely Irish girl - Alex. Although it was a brief encounter, her charm led to a perfect dining experience. Alex’s personality would be very suited for a server role. Would request her EVERYTIME. Absolutely fantastic service!

Great spaghetti and chicken parm, but the Garlic bread has way too much olive oil and the caesar salad had way too much dressing making those not able to eat. Disappointed about that.

We had a lovely hostess and waitress and the pasta was on par with dishes we ate in Italy. The dining felt like a slice of Europe in San Diego!

I only had two things, but I really enjoyed it. The garlic bread was phenomenal and I had a brussels sprout dish that I initially thought was too large for me to eat and ended up eating the whole dish.😅

Amazing food!!! We had the spaghetti, lasagna, and pizza. We try to expose our kids every now and then to nice restaurants where they need to use their manners - this place was great. Our server was kind and attentive, the food was delicious. My daughter even finished the meatballs because they were so soft and delectable 👌🏽 I would definitely this place, great atmosphere too.

Absolutely love restaurant with fun and flowery decor and lighting. They are open late during the week, have great drinks and the food is also amazing. I had the gnocchi tartufo and it was one of the best I’ve had and was cooked perfectly as well as tasted wonderful.

The food overall was good — nothing mind-blowing, but consistent across the board. The calamari was way too salty, though, definitely missed the mark there. Service was excellent; our waiter was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely friendly. Only downside was the music inside — it was louder than it needed to be, and I caught myself having to talk over it a few times. If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out, but I wouldn’t make a special trip just for it.

Authentic delicious food. Romantic atmosphere! Our server was the best! She was very knowledgeable of all the entrees & drinks, she had great suggestions. Music was great.. it was just an overall great experience!

First time here. Music was like a combo of DJ and electronic so loud no adult conversation possible. Won't go back despite the decent food. Requested they turn it down a tad but was told it was what the owner liked. Staff was apologetic. We were hopeful too. But it doesn't work for us.

Our first experience at Trattoria Don Pietro was a lovely one. We were kindly greeted and promptly seated. Our server, Yovana, was truly delightful in every way. She was very well versed with the menu, and was helpful in making recommendations (all of which were outstanding). She was attentive, energetic, and made the overall experience memorable with her warmth alone. We were checked on frequently, but never excessively. The chef made accommodation to my nut allergy by adjusting my order accordingly, and the result was fantastic. My pasta was cooked to perfection! Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised with dessert and a sparkler candle in celebration of our anniversary. Much appreciation for Yovana- we look forward to returning. Notes: We were seated in the garden (the outdoor patio). The music is upbeat, and the noise level does not overpower conversation. Despite the dishes being made to order, our food came out very quickly. My order: Fettucine Don Pietro (I would happily order this again). Say yes to the garlic bread.

Yovanna was a beautiful gem. Our host and guide for the evening. The food she suggested was to die for, and our experience was unforgettable. Go there. Ask for Yovanna. And enjoy the best meal of your life.
