Great food. Chicken Marsala, Tortellini Verde, Caprese Salad, Bruchetta.. so good. Has friendly, personal service.
We frequent Old town often (from AZ) & needed a break from Mexican food. we ordered garlic cheese bread, house salad & both of us had marsala (chicken & veal). Service was excellent...but the food was some of the best italian I've ever had. The vinegarette was delicious, the garlic bread with marina tasted like the tomatoes were freshly picked that day from the garden & the marsala was TO DIE FOR. Based on the reviews, Jack & Giulio’s is a long-standing, family-owned Italian restaurant and a San Diego favorite since 1961. It is an Old Town spot with an old-school red-linen vibe and warm lighting, offering inside dining as well as a patio area. The atmosphere is delightful, very old-school and peaceful. Service is exceptional, great, and incredible, with staff who are very nice, knowledgeable, and incredibly gracious. The food is amazing, fresh, and delicious. Specific meals mentioned include Classic Italian pasta, especially the Verde and Swallow's Nest, cannelloni, linguine with clams, Cioppino, Filet, chicken Marsala with fresh mushrooms, chicken piccata with angel hair pasta, and a veal cutlet. The garlic bread is delicious, and desserts are just the right size, with a favorite being the custard with nutmeg and fresh strawberries. The food is excellent and good price.
