Valerio's 1979 is a Philippine bakery and restaurant. The service is very friendly and welcoming, with top notch pinoy hospitality. Staff greet and serve customers right away with a smile. The baked goods are consistently tasty. The cheese rolls have a soft texture of sweet bread topped with a light fluffy frosting and an incredible filling. The mini pan de ube is delicious with ube filling. Other popular items include pandan cake rolls, hot dog roll, corned beef bun, chicken & beef empanadas, and ube bibingka. The ube buko pie and chicken empanada are 5 stars. The free tinola soup is also 5 stars. However, some lunch combo items have issues. The pancit is very dry with a soapy taste. The fried bangus is chewy like a rubber band. The mongo also has a soapy taste. The beef bistek lacks calamansi or lemon. The containers are the smallest seen. After eating the pancit, picadillo and mongo, lips became swollen, possibly from an ingredient like the cooking oil. The location has a nice new refresh with wonderful rebranding, new logos, packaging and food labels. It is a great step forward. Customers come 3x week for food. A box of cheese rolls is brought to every family party.
