We were on our way to Third Culture for a sweet treat and saw this little pop-up out front. Large array of cookies and muffins and scones with vegan and gluten-conscious options. Was able to get a vegan option for my child who can’t have dairy or egg products. Also got a little chocolate cookie for my other little one and it was delicious, crisp cookie, ganache type filling, and not too sweet.

I’m gluten free and egg free and they have delicious options! I discovered them at a market event in which they had a table selling their baked items. Normally, I can never find bakeries that do both gluten and egg free, but the lady was quick to confirm they had options and then walked me through about 5 different items that lined up with my dietary restrictions. I got a few of them to try and all were delicious and flavorful! I also enjoyed them because they weren’t overly sweet. If I’m ever in Berkeley, I will stop by their store for sure!

Dietary restrictions: I’m gluten free and egg free and they have delicious baked good items that fit my dietary restrictions!

Server could be less stand offish. Ordered an Americano, tasted like the beans were burned. Should have tasted it before I left a tip!! Doh! In the end I paid 5.oo to take a sip of horrible coffee, then throw away.

I was so excited to order cupcakes for ababy shower I was hosting. I had tastedBatter's cupcakes at someone else's partyand they were AMAZING. I knew theywould be the hit of the party. I ordered20 chocolate with cream cheese and 20chocolate with butter cream for $150.The order was ready on time and packedappropriately. However, when the guestof honor bit into her cupcake, she said ittasted "odd." She said she couldn'tdescribe it and asked me to taste it, so ldid. I was mortified, it was gooey in themiddle and the chocolate butter creamtasted somewhat oily! The cream cheeseicing was good, but the cupcakes over allwere subpar. I've ordered cupcake/cakesfrom all over the city and have never hadcupcakes taste this way. They were notenjoyable and with each bite, I kid younot, the cupcake literally fell apart! Wehad a lot left over. Thank God Ipurchased cookies from another baker.Batter Bakery no longer has cupcakes ontheir actual menu, maybe I should havejust ordered a cake. After raving aboutthem, I was so embarrassed.

Amazing

I’m obsessed with Batter’s bakes. The flavors, textures and execution of every cookie and cake are just spot on. I’m actually working my way through their menu one item at a time because I’ve yet to be disappointed by anything they create.

The owner is willing to bring down other small businesses in order to boost their ego. In a time where many small businesses are struggling, they're focusing on the wrong issues by using profits to threaten a small one-person cake baker over the use of the word "batter" that is 2000 miles away. There are many other bakeries out there that deserve our hard earned money that are kind and compassionate towards others. Just reiterating a previous review.

sad to see a small business attacking another small women owned business over the word "batter" which is literally the foundation of baking. not to mention, this bakery is halfway across the country and does not have an overlap in customers whatsoever. in a time that we should be uplifting and supporting each other this is extremely distasteful.

I called and ordered some scones to be picked up the following day. When I showed up, the scones were all wrapped and ready to go, but through no fault of the staff, everything else that could go wrong, did. It was just one of those days, and if you’ve ever worked retail, you know what I mean. Fortunately, the young woman who helped me could not have been more gracious, and rose above all the problems like a real pro! Previous experiences at the bakery have all been positive, although this stands out as exceptional! I highly recommend this great neighborhood business. And by the way, the scones are fantastic!

The owner is on a weird power trip and harassing a small, one woman-owned bakery in Milwauke. Why? Because she also has the word Batter in her name. Smells like insecurity to me because if you compare the two bakeries…..well there’s no comparison. So I guess to make herself feel more important, Jen is being a bully to BatterMke. How lame and sad, just like her scones.

Ray was so helpful, she handed me my cookies still warm out of the oven!! So polite and the cookies are delicious!
