We ate dinner at Blackwood in spite of a less than ideal brunch experience a few years ago. The service was attentive and absolutely wonderful (as it was during brunch). The restaurant is clean, upscale and comfortable. The food we ate for dinner was delicious. We shared a bottle of good quality Chardonnay wine with our meal. Service was impeccable, our water glasses were constantly being refillled and everyone was very friendly. For apps, we had the samosas, the marina strips, and the marina corn. The samosas had a light fluffy pastry but could have had a little more spice. The marina strips were very yummy, and the marina corn was a fun play on an elote and good for what it was. A fusion restaurant with fun dishes and flavors. We were a group of three and ended up splitting the chicken and waffles, hot pot, and Gatai (Thai breakfast with minced chicken and egg).
