Alex! Thank you for kind and attentive service and krasavchik self. You just made our wonderful dinner at Cafe Europa that more delightful. Please do not look past this Eastern European Cuisine in the quiet Laurel Heights-ish/Richmond district. We were looking for something Polish for my boss to enjoy and it really to her back to her childhood eating some long forgotten dishes. It invoked her senses and taste buds and she reminisced about her polish grandmother and mom's cooking. Mission accomplished. =) We ordered so much to try and taste and we were all deliciously pleased w/ everything that Babushka cooked in the the back. Borsch, potato pierogies, Latskas, Schnitzel, Kraut, goulash, and sausage...filled our dining table. Really well done, seasoned, and enjoyable. We hope to return, if we're back in the city and have a hankering for polish/german/Russian/eastern European food for sure. Street parking poses some challenges, but doable. $20-30+ for dishes/entrees, bring your larger limit credit card lol Eastern European food is not cheap eats lol. Dziękuję, Spasibo, Danke schön!

Food is simply amazing and the owner is most wonderful person! Even served us exceptionally tasty garlic ‘grenki’ off the menu by request :)

Honestly the Borscht was better than Cinderella which is a super popular alternative in the neighborhood. Also the Pierogi tasted just like my grandma used to make!Food came quick and you can tell it was family owned and ran. I’ll forsure be back to try more!

Cafe Europa left such a lasting impression on us that we've decided to return tomorrow before heading home to NC. Our experience with their authentic European homemade-style food and delightful service was so enjoyable that we can't resist one more visit. From the comforting borsch, flavorful schnitzel, and mouthwatering perogies to the tempting suggestion of their Napoleon cake, every moment at Cafe Europa feels like a warm embrace. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this culinary gem!

Tried to order dinner tonight from this restaurant we have been wanting to try for a few years now. We ordered on Doordash and within 20 minutes it canceled. We called the restaurant and they told us to order from Uber Eats. We ordered again and you guessed it, canceled again. We called to ask why and they said they were out of half the order. No Cabbage Rolls and no Blintz, come on. We'd love to try your food sometime.

Do not sleep on this neighborhood gem!!We shared a bunch of dishes and it’s rare to say that each one was phenomenal. Easily the best schnitzel I’ve had, including from Europe. The potato pancakes were fresh, fluffy and flavorful. Beef stroganoff, dumplings and cabbage roll were all best in class flavor and texture wise. Also do not get me started on this chocolate cake…. the BEST.The impeccable service really was the cherry on top of the dining experience. Will be back!!

I've now been to this restaurant many times and if I lived closer would dine there each week. Alex and the team offer exceptional, attentive service and the food is always fresh, hot and captures the flavors of Eastern European cuisine perfectly. A highly rated place to enjoy anytime in the Bay Area.

The bill seemed off to me and when I was finished mathing 4X, it looks like I was overcharged by about $10. I don't like that. The meal is diminished when you feel tricked. There were too many overcharges not to be purposeful. The food was decent though I didn't appreciate being told twice I couldn't order a bowl of soup until I was ready to order our entire meal. I hadn't eaten in 24 hours, I can order a cup of mushroom soup ($7.75) while we look over the menu, right? The stroganoff was enormous but was a bit bland and they used rotini, not egg noodles ($27.75, charged $28.75). The pork kielbasa ($24.50, charged $26.50) was fine, I liked the spicy mustard. The beef pierogi stole the show and was absolutely delicious ($16.75). The cucumber salad was sloppily cut and too pricey for a side salad at $11.50 (charged $12.50). The tab was off by a small bit and the tax was over calculated resulting in another overcharge of $6.12. I'm half Eastern European so the sleight of hand on the noodles without saying a word about its substitution and the cucumbers cut as if by a blind man bothered me in addition to feeling like a patsy regarding the padded bill. They need to do better- and correct the overcharge on my bill.

WOW! Cafe Europa is hot! And I mean hot like your best friend's sister hot! I was just out boppin around lookin for this and that with my pals Welder Grabbers, Lil Thumper and Bigbang and we stumbled upon the Cafe Europa Restaurant, and hell it was time to eat, so we did just that...eat.What a great place, the food was Amazing and the menu was just right, not overwhelming in the least bit, it was perfect. The Schnitzel was so Spectacular it disappeared before I could get a picture, that in itself is worthy of a two hour drive!5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

Our dinner there was a disaster. The only person who worked there made me feel unwelcome. The restaurant was empty on the rainy day however we were not allowed to use an additional table to accommodate part of the family. I did not appreciate the service. I will not be back.
