About Cafe Melange

Cafe Melange is a new cafe at City Hall, though it can be a little hard to find. The staff are nice, friendly, and provide great service with big smiles, contributing to a kind atmosphere. The food options for snacks or lunch are great. The overnight oats with chia seeds, vanilla, apple, cinnamon and brown sugar are the best ever, with an absolutely amazing texture; they are vegan, made with almond milk, and seem more like a chia pudding, kinda sweet like a dessert. The cob salad is pretty good with super fresh and crisp lettuce and lots of chicken, though the bacon wasn’t all that crispy. The Caesar salad and southwest salad are both vegetarian. The breakfast sandwich (shakshuka) is a pretty good egg and cheese patty in a soft and fresh brioche bun; it is a good deal and comes with oranges. The drip coffee from Tallios is good. The cafe is a Bayview collective, featuring African and African-American cuisine. The seating area looks a bit run down, but there are tables available.
