A Saturday morning farmers market mainstay. Top quality smoked salmon and excellent cream cheese salmon dip; not cheap but they're worth a try.

Love their product so much I made a trip to the small mom and pop shop (Sunrise Meats) in Port Angeles who produces the smoked Salmon they sell, while visiting Port Orchard. And the shop in P. A., as the locals call it, has the best jerky and pepperoni I have ever had. Too bad Mikes doesn't or can't sell it.

Hi, ya'll this is Pasco & Valerie from Brooklyn a thirty year customer. All I can say is you keep it real. The best product we have ever had. I must say it was a treat talking to you for the first time, usually I talk to your lovely wife Sally. You both possess an amazing spirit . Continued success . One love! Pasco@Valerie

Tried the smoked salmon spread and let me tell you - this stuff is addicting. Super smoky, salmonly, creamy goodness that pairs perfectly with crackers. We went from a full tub in the first pic to not-a-full tub in the second pic after 2 days! With some awesome people to boot behind the booth, what’s stopping you? ?

Everything about Mike,Sally and their fish and soups are the highest quality. We make a stop every week to purchase or just to say hi. If you have never tried their fish you are in for a wonderful treat.

My sister and I came here this morning after spotting it in the farmers market. We got the original lox salmon, and it was so good and refreshing. It had a ton of pickled red onions (but we took off most of it-- although I liked them, there were a LOT), capers, lemon, cream cheese, and the smoked salmon on top of the bread. My main complaint is that it was really pricy-- $13! Although it was definitely delicious, I couldn't get over that price.

Holy smoke indeed. Recommended ONLY if you prefer to smell and taste the smoke and not the fish. Captain Mike's lox are SO SMOKEY that we could barely taste the salmon under the dense cloud of (alderwood?) smoke. If you're used to and prefer rich yet mild and decidedly salmony lox (think Caviar House or Russ & Daughters), this isn't your lox port. Put in somewhere else.

Our Saturday mornings in the city are not complete without a visit here! Many many people eye my vegetarian sandwich thinking it looks insanely good -- and the taste is too good! Ask for all the veggies and they sure do deliver! The cream cheese is too good and my husband loves his pox sandwich! Gazpacho is sooo yummy, most definitely worth a visit!

At the Saturday Ferry Building Farmers Market, you see the vendors with their fresh fruits and vegetables, food vendors selling their delicious foods and specialties, breads, pastries, cheese, and fresh meats and seafood. We stopped and were admiring the smoked salmon and lox at the Cap'n Mike's Holy Smoke stand. The lady gave us samples of the different types of smoked salmon and lox. We loved the thinly sliced cold-smoked mild tasting and not salty San Francisco Style Lox, which is from King Salmon. So good that we bought a package. They also have salmon candy, jerky and sticks and smoked black cod, tuna and trout too. If you love smoked salmon and lox, visit Cap'n Mike's towards the back of the Farmers Market. You won't be disappointed.

We were walking around the Ferry Building and the farmer's market looking for some grub to eat. My cousin took us to this booth, since it was one of her favorites and I can see why! We got the San Francisco Style Red Lox and the Honey Smoked Salmon to share. They kindly cut the bread into 3 pieces each so we could easily split it. This was the most visually appealing lox I have eaten so far. They were both delicious, but my favorite would have to be the Honey Smoked Salmon. It was light and the peaches were a refreshing component. The San Francisco Style Red Lox is more of your traditional lox.
