Went by there today, and was told the place was permanently closed, and has been closed for two weeks. So I'm kind of surprised to see recent reviews saying folks were just there? What's going on here?

I was visiting San Francisco and used Bart to get around. I was really hungry for breakfast and this cute little place near the station. It had a line coming out of the restaurant but the wait actually didn't take too long, like 20 minutes I'd say. So they were really fast! The food was great as well, and they have different weekly specials which also sounded so good. And their pastries all looked so good!! They were displayed right in the front so I had to try one. I got the chicken sausage with eggs and also tried their blueberry whiskey coffee cake. *chef's kiss* The waiters were so nice and attentive, idk if it was because it was so busy, but telling them our orders seemed like we were being rushed. But other than that they did visit our table frequently and made sure we were okay. It was a cute place for a simple breakfast and pastry morning, I recommend even for a mimosa brunch.

I came here Saturday morning 10/23/2021 and the restaurant was closed. A passer buyer told me that it's permanently closed because the landlord jacked up the rent $5000. Apparently the landlord jacked up the rent on all tenants of the block. I'm not sure how true this is or not but it was closed today. If all this is true the place will sadly be missed

I'm glad I finally got a chance to try this place out! We were blessed to have such a sweet server that patiently explained the menu well. Everything tastes as simple and perfect as it should. I'll be coming here.

We waited outside for a bit, but sadly someone who works in the area said it has closed for good over a rent dispute.

Let's be real, the trek to this place by foot is not for the faint of heart. We walked here from union square while wheeling around a carry on luggage and handling a duffel bag and to be honest, the thought may have crossed my mind that we may just get our bags taken. Within a less than 10 minute walk, we saw someone sifting through their weed, smoking crack out of a glass pipe, and a needle hanging off their lip. Note, all of this was not one person, but to see all three of these instances was daunting to say the least. Word of advice, take a different mode of transportation here (e.g. by car). So, we roll up. This place doesn't look like much, a little rundown so we hesitated on whether we should find another breakfast place. However, as we were short on time and didn't want to miss our flight, we hunkered down and gave this place a chance. We weren't that hungry so we shared a chorizo omelette. We set our expectations low given the walk here and the appearance of the place. When the food came out, the aroma of the chorizo and cheddar wafted to our noses and we instantly felt our stomachs shudder with delight. It was nice that the chorizo was served with soft tortillas as it was like a make your own taco dish. I carefully layered my tortilla with chorizo mixed with fluffy scramble ensuring that the taco was sufficiently filled but not overloaded to the point of cracking. One bite in, and the chorizo juice encompassed my taste buds and mixed ever so well with the tortilla and egg. I'm usually not a fan of potatoes but the crispy outer edges were pretty hard to resist. Overall, happily surprised so don't judge a book by its cover. A little pricey for an omelette but it was a hefty portion so no regrets there!

If I could it would be 0 stars!! This place was recommended and highly raved about. When I came in with friends to get to go orders they all ordered first because I was parking so when I came in after they ordered the man at the register went and helped a few customers at their tables which was fine since he was the only waiter and doing register...then he came back and I said I'm ready...and he never acknowledged me and started ringing up other people so rather than telling me "excuse me can you just wait a minute so I ring them up and then I'll help you" he says nothing so I have to move out the way because now the person who's paying is in my space. And he rings up 2 more people and still doesn't acknowledge me ans then proceeded to put napkins and utensils in bags for future to go orders and STILL proceeded to ignore me! Probably won't ever come back and I'm really disappointed in the service

Dottie's is your classic breakfast fare with a few twists for those looking to try something different. Everything I had was well made but the cinnamon roll is fantastic and I would definitely recommend getting it if you go. Make sure you go early though as it seems like they run out early as we got the last one. While the area certainly is not great, it was fine when we went in the morning.

This place was great! The service was excellent and you can tell they take pride in what they are serving. When there is a line out the door around the corner you can usually tell its a good joint to eat. I will definitely return next time I am in the city.

I got a chicken sausage scramble and added tomatoes and avocado. I also had to try a cinnamon roll. Great service and great food!

SouthWest omelette is delicious Be prepared to wait in line. The place is small, but worth it.

If you're not paying attention, you'll walk right past it so, make sure you're paying attention. The exterior screams dive but the food is CRAZY GOOD. My wife and I ordered the Open Road with scramble eggs, smothered in peppers, pesto, and italian sausage. Not only was the food amazing but the service was great as well. Definitely a go to spot!

Me and my girlfriend shared the egg frittata which came with your choice of bread and potatoes. A pretty good dish, it had flavor and the staff were extremely nice, but it wasn't anything that will blow you away. A good spot to get a quick bite if you're in the area.
