Don’t be fooled by the name - dumplings consist of a very small portion of the menu. If fact there’s only one type of boiled dumplings (pork + cabbage) plus the typical pan fried, XLB, won ton in chile oil. This is mostly a meat dishes and veg dishes place. Green beans were the best of the ones we dried. Pass on pork and cabbage rice cakes and the sticky rice roll covered in hot Saran Wrap (eeek).
I popped in for a quick lunch on a Monday, there was only one other table seated so no wait. I thought about going for one of the lunch specials, but dumplings aren't on there (think traditional US Chinese dishes like General Tso's). The wontons were great, the sauce had good texture.

One of my favorite restaurants in SF!

I’m glad to see they opened up the indoor seating again and they now accept credit cards with a processing fee.

Vegetarian options: You can opt for some dishes to be vegetarian. The green beans are amazing!
I tried the braised tofu with vegetables. The tofu was good and the veggies were mostly bok choy, I wish there was more of the carrots and mushrooms or other veggies in the dish.
