Im disappointed with the manager. Bad service ,guys you are in business, you should never upsed your customers. you are silly?. I come to your bar, you ask for my ID.Its on the phone, which I don't take with me. And your stupid Manager says they can't give Alcohol, they don't think it's mine lol are you ok or do you need doctor? stupid manager. And you says its California low,but Even in Ca low says if the policeman will ask ID you can show from your phone too. Come on im here 2 days all the restaurants ask Id and I show from my phone. I have never had problems and make sends all restaurants are 5 stars. Yours is poor if make a star I will give nothing for you just fuck you poor owner and Manager.

Good food and ambiance, however the service is severly lacking. Martin was our server and he was one of the worst servers I’ve experienced in recent memory. Aside from the initial greeting, he never came back to the table even one time the entire breakfast without having to be prompted each time. We had to put our plates away off the table ourselves since he never came to clear them even 30 min after our plates were empty. Never came to ask if we needed anything not one time. He never gave us the bill until prompted even after being completely finished for about 30 min. Even when we managed to get his attention, multiple times he forgot to do the task such as refilling our orange juice which we would have to hunt him down to ask him again for the same thing again. At the end, I realized why the service was so awful. They required an 18% gratuity no matter what. So of course he had no desire to lift a finger or try whatsoever. So In summary I would say Food and ambiance was good but Martin and the service was awful.

Firstly, thanks to Joy for great service and hospitality during our recent stays! We've had several meals at The Eclipse Kitchen over the past few months while staying at the Hyatt Regency, Embarcadero. Always delicious food and a surprisingly good value for a city hotel. If we lived in the neighborhood, despite many great restaurants, we'd still eat here at least some of the time. While we already had plans for Thanksgiving, if we hadn't, the dinner offered in the restaurant was surprisingly reasonable. Later we did try the xmas day offerings and they were delicious and relatively reasonable. A plate with moist turkey, stuffing, garlicky mashed potatoes, sweet potato, green beans and cranberry sauce, all on one plate for $30. There was a 2nd option, but I don't recall what it was. The crab cakes are fabulous also! The dessert was a cheesecake that was delish! You can sit at the bar and meet new people, or spread out in the sprawling area, with lots of seating options, in the lobby area.

It's a very very slow bar. And the servers are very inconsistent with their service. Some are fast and some are very very slow. If you get stuck with the slow ones, it takes 20 minutes for a drink when another bartender gives it in less than a minute for a simple pour

The Eclipse Bar and Restaurant is located in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency. Nice friendly service. The Flatbread was also good. Lots of TB’s for sports. Enjoyable.

the same old place, for the last 5 years.I have been visiting here for business and nothing exciting about it.It calm, quite, lots of places to sit.Full of visitors from our of town, and local for meetings and so on.the food - hotel restaurant - expect less and pay more.the drinks - varies, but high prices and slow service.the setting is nice, old style hotel space.the service - sad, the people there are utterly and completely miserable. No exchange of small talk, rushed, to themselves, and very very very sad looking..

Eclipse is located in the Hyatt Regency where we were staying. The Clam Chowder in a sourdough bowl was excellent! I asked if it would be canned and the server said it would be made fresh and it was. My husband ordered the Tofu Curry with rice and loved it. As for the service, the gentleman who brought out out food was very kind. Server was very monotone but maybe she was having a bad day. The manager also stopped by in the beginning to make sure we were taken care of. The ambiance was very nice. They have a beautiful waterfall and some interesting seating where you have a little privacy.

My wife and I had dinner at Eclipse on our last night. We wanted to stay close and nothing is more convenient than a restaurant at your own hotel. We were so happy we did!Food was absolutely delicious. Honestly, one of our favorite meals in SF. I had a steak with mushrooms , mashed potatoes, veggies, and a delicious sauce. The steak was a great portion and cooked perfectly . Wife had the chicken sliders, which were so tender and flavorful. I would agree it's a little pricey, but the food was so good. Oh, and the passion fruit cheesecake is a must!!! It's legit a top 3 desert I've ever had, and I'm a desert guy all dayyyyy.

My husband & I sat at the bar for drinks & apps, the bartender Rafael was so nice, the friendliest person we’ve encountered so far in San Francisco! And he made the best espresso martini I’ve ever had! 10/10.

Although I didn't get to try their regular menu, I did attend a reception and the appetizers were ok, nothing spectacular. The drinks are expensive.
