“Breakfast burritos are awesome, will return for them.
Weirdly though, there are an abundance of signs on the inside about food from outside and laptops that made me feel unwelcome even though I had neither my laptop nor food from outside with me.“

“I came here before heading to the Caltrain station. There isn’t as much food around this area as I was guessing but Cafe Buenos Aires was a real gem.
It’s a pretty small space, with seating for maybe 10-15 people total including chairs outside. The staff working seem to have a number of regulars, as while I was there (for about an hour), multiple people came in and chatted with them, which was nice to see!
They have a pretty expansive menu of empanadas, with lots of veggie options and a good selection of vegan options. You order at the front and they heat them for you before serving — it took about 5 minutes to get my order after ordering.
The empanadas themselves were amazing. I ordered a Humita and a Nopales empanada. Both were delicious, and the Humita was a type I’ve never had before. Next time I’m in SF, I’ll come back to try more of them!!“

“Everything good in this store, fantastic great job👍.“
“This little gem is located inside Ferry Building Marketplace. It’s is one of the few places open early in the morning to get food. The woman working was friendly. We had no wait. I ate the Fugazzeta Empanada… it literally melted in my mouth. It was the best empanada I have ever had. The price seemed high for just one, but the taste made it worth it!“

“This place had one of the best petnats ive ever had. I wish we had just gotten the bottle but we did want to try their orange wine which was also great...but that PETNAT!!
Service and staff were amazing.
Theres seating out front around barrel tables, bar seating, then an outdoor area in the back.“

“Excellent empanadas. You cannot go wrong. They are all amazing. Alfajores are also fantastic but they are Peruvian style (because in general Argentinian alfajores are not that good).
If you are at the ferry building and want something really good and easy, this is one of the best places.“

“I love this place! The staff is always very helpful and nice. They let me practice my Spanish as well!
The place is very clean! Lots of tables and space for a group or eating solo.
The bakery is amazing. Conchas are constantly coming out of the kitchen still warm. The anise flavored one is my favorite. I walk across town to get them. Best conchas I've ever had!
The food is also good. I've had a few sandwiches that I've enjoyed, but I'd like to explore the menu more.“
“This review is for Origen's food stand at the Bay Area Book Festival in May 2022. I had a vegan tlayuda, a plate-sized crunchy tortilla topped with black beans, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes and a mild or spicy sauce. It was fresh and tasty. The vegetarian tamales looked wonderful, too
I also had a maracuya (passion fruit) agua fresca, which is one of the best agua frescas I've ever had. It was sweet and refreshing, which I expected, but it was also served with slushed ice, which was a nice surprise. That gave it an extra texture that added to its yumminess.
Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The cashier told me my food would take 10 minutes but it was ready in half that time. There was a steady stream of customers while I was there, which is a sign of its popularity.
Be sure to check out this La Cocina graduate if you see its stand at a festival.“
