It has a lovely interior design; the endless swirls of lighting design hypnotize you to buy one of every dessert ; Love the practice of using tongs to place dessert on a tray. But shouldn’t they be replaced by heavy duty chopsticks ?

OMG all of this is baked with god hands. Everything is delicious. I am from Florida and we fall in love with this bakery. We have to come back for more and take it with us. Cookies, bread, pastry, cake, every piece is extremely delicious.

Overall amazingly great, the pastries are very good and soft just like iv seen and dreamed of tasting when seen them on instagram and tiktok videos. Great employees and great atmosphere it tends to get bit crowded due to being a popular spot.

I ordered a millet seed birthday cake on 5/21/24. The millet seeds were so sour that I couldn’t eat them. The whole cake had to be thrown away on my birthday. Selling the cake overnight was a waste of money and a disappointment.
Amazingly affordable pastries! Make sure to bring cash if you plan to buy less than $10! (It’s very easy to spend $8 and walk out with four pastries!)

fancy wheat field bakery is a self-serve chinese bakery at the edge of chinatown and north beach. they sell a variety of sweet and savory pastries, mooncakes etc. grab a tray and fill it with what you would like, pay at the counter. cash is recommended to avoid a card fee.i've been a couple of times now and have had the red bean bun, sponge honey cake, and pineapple bun. reasonable prices.my favorite is the pineapple bun. under $2, it is sweet and soft but with a crunchy exterior top. i like how fancy wheat field's is a tiny bit salty as it really brings out the sweetness. i've tried a couple of pineapple buns throughout chinatown and SF, and fancy wheat field has my favorite plain one so far.my only wish is that it could be served warm or they at least warm it up after you purchase it, because the baked items have been sitting on the shelf all day.
Love this bakery. Good food and good price.

Try their egg tarts, specially if you are lucky enough when they just came out of the oven. The warm egg custard and the lightly fluffy pastry are a perfect combination.Good quality baked goods at a reasonable prices. Looking forward to try out the cakes next.
