Updating my review to 5 stars on google maps (4.5 stars tho tbh because of the price/inconsistency of dishes), we had a great experience here recently. I think there are some dishes that are really standouts, and the others are a bit too expensive for how good they are. I would recommend amatriciana pizza, but more so the agnolotti pasta, really really good. Service was great, nice restaraunt

Flour + water serves good food, good service, yet still feels overrated. After being open for several years, reservations are still a challenge, and the return for your money is not there. Some of the dishes were good but nothing stood out as mind blowing, and the music was so loud it was hard to talk sometimes. Highlights were the yellowfin tuna crudo, Arancini and budino, but the porchetta, the chicory salad and the pavlova were a disappointment.

Absolute banger of a tasting menu. Top to bottom deliciousness, I wish I had some more original take to share but this really is a no-fail spot. Also whoever did the wine for the pairings must have become a Som outside the US because no American wine-mister would have put together a wine paired menu this thoughtful. No notes, perfect dinner

Went with 3 people total. We ordered the sourdough bread, Ricotta, Taleggio Scarpinocc, Black Pepper Campanelle, Smoked Pork Agnolotti, and the Margherita pizza.
My personal favorite was the black pepper Campanelle, my party liked the ricotta and the taleggio a lot.
10/10 would go again

I think the weakest showing by this restaurant in all the times I’ve been there.
the openers arancini and ricotta left much to be desired in terms of flavor and textures. The pastas were perfectly cooked but felt very heavy w their clarified butter sauces.
The date cake dessert was just bad, poorly balanced on flavors and the set and presentation was just mediocre. Please go checkout the date cake at Hilda and Jesse, that’s how you do it.
I went last night with my wife and daughter, the staff were great and so friendly, this is my fourth time now and it was so delicious as always, would 100% recommend!!

Legendary spot but under delivered on service. I thought the food was absolutely delicious, but the portions were small and that paired w the less than attentive service made for an underwhelming experience. My fancy pasta budget will be going to Belotti in Oakland in the future: similar vibe tho a little more classic than trendy and more attentive service Menu highlights: veal tartare was stand out and both pastas were solid

We came here on a Friday night, we had a reservation, and I'm glad we did, because it was absolutely packed!! We did see people attempting to walk in and get a table. They were very disappointed! There were three of us, we ordered many dishes, the standouts were the pizza, and of course the pasta. Also the veggies and the salads were wonderful. Service was excellent, and all the food was absolutely to die for. Don't come here if you are on a low carb diet haha! We also got all three desserts, I like that their menu is small but everything is executed perfectly. What really stood out to me, was the service. The Wait staff were very kind and patient in reminding us that we needed to vacate the table after 2 hours. I think this is perfectly reasonable! Obviously restaurants need to turn over their tables to stay in business. There were so nice about it, once they moved us back to the waiting area so others could have our table they actually gave us little splashes of wine as a thank you! Now, that is exceptional service! We would absolutely come back here.

Without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants in SF. The short rib agnolotti pasta with collard greens is delicious - a must try before it leaves off the menu. But everything is good!
