Opted for the Sea Salt Caramel duo of the cocoa and the Sundae. The cocoa just comes from a machine, like a premade machine coffee which is just disappointing and borderline insulting. If you are a chocolate place why not take pride in hot chocolate?
The sundae was good! Went for the dark chocolate version. I’d return for the flavor but not the price tag. It’s about 2x too expensive at $16.
The individual squares are also about twice as expensive as anywhere else at $36/pound.
The space itself presents feels a bit soulless and cold despite them serving chocolate. Why not just serve good chocolate in a cozy place rather than making it a wannabe Starbucks tourist trap?

Good classic sundaes with their famous chocolate. Limited seating and it’s always busy with tourist and families so be warned.
Definitely worth their price $18 for this Sundae, but the taste and the experience is so nice. Everyone is so kind, and their service is amazing and fast. Today was my first time here but I am definitely coming back!

It's so glorious in here! The staff are friendly and don't worry they won't mispronounce your name like Starbucks when your order is ready.
I think it is overadvertised ! It is really not very special and the icecreams are too sweet
When in San Francisco I always stop at Ghirardelli the hot cocoa is delicious, the sundaes are delicious. We stopped after a Giants game and it was crowded. We took it to go. The location is excellent within walking distance to the Nintendo store and the Nike store. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I love Ghirardelli.
Big portions and long lines but it's worth it! If you like chocolate you will like this place.
Great hot chocolate, the well known sundae, and no queues like at the Ghirardelli Square.
