Pied Piper Reviews
Pied Piper is one of my favorite places in SF. For drinks and/or dinner. Service is always A+. Food is delicious. Wide selection of drinks, beer and NA beer. The Palace Hotel is historic and fun to spend time in.
I lived in SF my whole life until I got married and moved to the south bay but never got a chance to try this place, until my hubby and I did our now annual staycation. And boy were we pleasantly surprised!
Best homemade spaghetti EVER! I told my hubby, I'd come back just for this pasta pomodoro. Perfect al dente and chew from a homemade pasta vs dried smothered with a perfect pomodoro sauce and baby tomatoes and parm that made the hot dish almost creamy. Just reviewing...read full review
I loved that they serve olives and chips as a complimentary snack—and the best part is they’re unlimited! Having Port wine on the menu was a huge plus for me. The burger was cooked perfectly to my liking, and the salmon was very fresh. The atmosphere is great, making it the perfect spot to grab a drink with friends at night if you're staying at the hotel.

Pied Piper is a charming place with a warm and cozy atmosphere, serving complementary chips and olives. The food quality is good, and the burger was decent, especially the Wagyu burger with egg on top, which was praised as a chef's kiss. The Coastal Chowder was also incredible, making the food fresh and delicious. The inside space feels intimate with padded seats, high chairs, and high tables, creating a comfortable environment. The bar area features a TV, adding to the cozy vibe. The staff are very friendly and provide quick, attentive service, making it especially suitable for families. Prices are reasonable for a city hotel, although some drinks may be slightly overpriced. The drinks are well-made and enjoyable, with a nice selection. The atmosphere is a quiet, enclosed bar/restaurant without windows, perfect for relaxing evenings. Arriving early is recommended to secure a table, as seating is limited. Overall, Pied Piper remains a good option, especially for those staying at The Palace Hotel, with many guests likely to return for another meal or drink.
