Good Vietnamese Chinese fusion.
Only critique is that the crab has too strong of a garlic flavour.

I recommend coming here on a weekday since it wasn’t busy and we basically had the place to ourselves. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely amazing. We chose the set menu for two and thought the portions were generous. If you get the chance, grab a table by the window so you can enjoy some people watching while you eat.

My mom was craving Chinese style food during our visit to the city, and since she loves crab and seafood, we decided to try Golden Crab House. They’re one of the few Asian restaurants open until 9 PM, which worked perfectly for our late dinner plans.

We arrived around 8:20 PM, and the staff was kind enough to seat us without hesitation, even though they were nearing closing time. They didn’t rush us at all and allowed us to enjoy our meal while they started cleaning up. Their thoughtful and relaxed approach was really appreciated.

They had a $98 special for two that included a whole crab, garlic noodles, egg rolls, and salad—such a great deal, especially compared to other crab spots in the city, which can be pretty expensive. We’ve been to a few, and this one definitely offered good value for what we got. We added green beans to our order which was delicious.

We ordered the peppercorn crab, which was tasty, though a bit salty on the outside—as expected with a salt and pepper dish—but the crab meat itself was delicious. Next time, we’ll probably try the garlic butter version to compare.

The only minor disappointment was the tea; it was a big pot with just one teabag, so the flavor was a bit weak, but not a dealbreaker.

Parking in the area isn’t great, especially at night, so we chose to Uber across town, which worked out fine but took 25 mins from Potrero Hill.

There was no wait when we arrived, but since it was a Tuesday night, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a wait earlier in the evening or on weekends.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend Golden Crab House. Unassuming, casual family vibe. It doesn’t get as much attention as some of the trendier spots, but we’ll be back for sure.

I don’t think this place gets enough love. We got the 2 person crab set for $98. Came out with this salad with duck I think and egg rolls. Garlic noodles went well with the crab. Crab is excellent.

Crab was good. Egg rolls were great. Garlic noodles were overcooked and dry. Crab fried rice was bland and disappointing. Cabbage salad was…. Interesting? Kind of like a garnish, delicious but probably had less than $2 worth of ingredients used in it.

The waitress didn’t want to be there. Super unfriendly. I thought I made her smile once, my dining companions assured me I had not.

$241 pre-tip, completely reasonable for the location and if the food/service was good. Ordered the crab for two, an additional crab, crab rice, and four beers.

Will not be back again unless just looking for straight up crab, but that waitress has to go first, and she probably owns the damn place.

Been meaning to review this location. If you like crab, this is the place to try various cooked style crab. I was told the crab was delicious. Sorry. I am allergic to crab and shrimp. We came here with my family and we selected the party for 4 menu. We ordered: Pepper Corn chicken wings, shrimp papaya salad ( substitute to beef), roasted crab, 5 spices chicken , garlic noodles, sliced sea bass, string beans and fried banana with ice cream.
Everything was very good, but the garlic noodles, and the sea bass was the best for me. We definitely go back if we are close by. Parking is a little bit hard to find.

I went to this restaurant because my friend wanted seafood. We ordered the 2 person special for $98. It came with a whole roasted garlic crab, garlic noodles, spring rolls and a salad. Just right for a couple of hungry diners.

The crabs were a little over cooked n the beef were too mushy. I still liked PPQ in the Richmond district. Too bad we had to come here because PPQ close on Tuesday.

We had family birthday night at the Golden Crab on Friday night, and it was amazing! There was 4 of us and we ordered the dinner for 4 people. It's was the perfect amount and great variety of food, everyone had a good amount of crab, with a few legs leftover! This restaurant is a winner for us! We'll be back!

They have been renovated, the environment is very clean, the service is very thoughtful, and the most important thing is that the food is very delicious 😋

I love their food. I always order garlic noodles, crab fried rice, and sticky chicken wings!
