We had the pleasure to dine with JP. He was an amazing server. Really made our first time at HOPR memorable. JP walked us through the menu, had wine recommendations, and really hooked up my baked potato! He said he strives ri serve his table as if he was serving himself. Best way to have a delightful experience. He showed love when he made the baked potato. The serving sizes were generous. I loved the cream corn. Got to sit right by the iron cart. Had one of the best waiters that I've ever had. Alberto was super polite and went above and beyond for me. The food was top notch and the service was fantastic. Thanks for making my night in SF.
I guess not all good things last. HOPR is one of our fave restaurants and we’ve been coming here for years but our last visit was quite disappointing. The prices have increased, you no longer get an extra slice (except for if you order the King Henry Cut), and bread or sides you want to bring home will cost you extra $5. It also just takes so long to flag anyone down as they’re extremely busy. We couldn’t even get a water refill during the entire meal. Food is still amazing...
