Ideale has been a favorite of ours for many years. Their food is always consistently good and authentically Italian. It's like dining with family! The service is so attentive and spot on. Charming place off the beaten path but a great secret for us locals that know about it. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Love this place!
We just returned home after a long weekend in San Francisco. Among the highlights of our visit was dinner at Ideale. Everything was superb at the restaurant including the ambience and quality of the food (we both had an Insalata Ideale, the Fettuccine Alla Norcina and shared a Tiramisu and bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma). Our experience was top notch! We had the prosciutto wrapped pear to start and it was unbelievable. I had the cacio e Pepe and my husband had the steak- both were phenomenal but the cacio e Pepe was out of this world. I will dream about this pasta. Our waitress Elleen was so fabulous. She was attentive, kind and had amazing suggestions! We will absolutely be back.
