Great sourdough - super moist and rich. Toast was small, but bomb taste made up for that

I LOVE Josey Baker bread. I have had sourdough all over the country and can 100% tell you that Josey Baker is the best. After moving from Pac Heights to NY last March, I have brought home 4 loaves every time to put in my freezer (I thaw one at a time in my breadbox and have a slice every morning).

The Lrg country loaf is amazing. It has a nice golden/slightly mahogany crust and a super moist but airy interior, it truly is beautiful and delicious.

Their sourdough is amazing. It has crusty exterior and a very moist interior. However, I do wish they offered a slicing service. There might be reasons for not providing this, but having evenly sliced bread would really enhance the experience. When I try to slice it at home, it's never quite even. Please consider!

Wanted to try their bread for a while, ehh, i've tried much better tasting breads. It was 2.5/5 and not worth the $9 price tag. Service however is a strong ZERO!!! Someone behind the register had such an attitude, wow! I asked a question about a bread and she walked away before I got a full answer, she also turned her back while I was paying. Very disrespectful.

We go here for bread all of the time. All though it may seem pricey, the bread is heavy and very good.

Went to a Pizza making class here. They did a great job, and it was a lot of fun. We were able to enjoy a few expenses and some appetizers before the class . Both were very good. They also make their own fluor in-house... so cool. Great place for fresh breads and a cup of coffee.
The mocha with non-dairy milk was perfect and so was the sourdough bread with almond butter and the ham and cheese croissant. Absolutely delicious. Haven’t found any bakery as good as this in NYC. Must visit if you are in SF!

Pizza class—learned pizza making intracacies—dough, toppings according to your taste, baking-YUM! Great class!

Took a bread baking class with Francis as a team event and she was so knowledgeable. Her passion for bread is infectious. Even if we couldn't take the dough home to bake off (we were traveling from LA) we were sent home with everything we needed to start out bread baking journey...

Bakers are lovely and I got started to take back to the east coast

I moved to San Francisco after living in Paris for six years and we all know how seriously the French take their bread. It is therefore with absolute certainty that I can tell you: Josie’s bread is the best bread. We are loyal wheat, seed, or sourdough fans for a year and a half now. Thank you to the Josie team and The Mill for bringing real bread to the “Paris of the Pacific”.
