About The Mill

The Mill is a nice cafe with friendly service and a very pleasant atmosphere. While the food, like toast and blueberry portion, may not be extraordinary, it is delicious. The pesto cream cheese toast is a standout, with crispy bread and flavorful spread. The Egg-in-a-Hole is a must-try, featuring perfect bread and delicious taste, enhanced by sage compound butter that adds a delightful complexity. The Avocado Mash is highly praised, being so good that many return for it, although some find the price to be a bit high. The lemon ricotta toast is just okay, but the rye bread used in the toasts is the star of the show. They serve Four Barrel coffee, and the cappuccino is enjoyable, especially when sipped in the parklet. The cookies, particularly the chocolate chip cookie, and coffee are good for an afternoon pick-me-up. However, the chocolate croissant and boureka were not as impressive. The cafe emphasizes sustainability by using real, reusable mugs, plates, and silverware, which customers appreciate. The Mill can get crowded, especially with laptop users, making seating a bit of a cattle call. Customers order at the front and dishes are brought to them via number stands, so claiming a table can feel like a free-for-all. There is no wifi or outlets, making it a better spot for meeting, chatting, or people-watching rather than working for long periods. Overall, The Mill is a great spot for tasty toast options and a cozy atmosphere, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a relaxed Sunday morning.
