Katsuo & Kombu Reviews
Arrived around 6pm on a Friday night and the line went fast. The service was really nice and the food came out quickly. The tan tan noodles had great flavor and the niku beef had a very soothing broth which was perfect for the rainy weather. Would definitely go back, but not sure I'd stand in a super long line for the food, it's great but not mind-blowing.
Great casual udon place in SF! Come here to catch up with your friends or a quick casual weeknight dinner. Have tried nearly every warm udon option and they're all good! Noodles are perfectly cooked and chewy. Slightly skinnier than udon noodles I'm used to, but still just as good. The tan tan spicy dry udon is unique and stands out! Small seating area with no waitlist. If you come ~5pm opening or near closing there shouldn't be any wait, but expect 15-25 min wait otherwise.

Very friendly employees and yummy food. There aren’t a ton of tables so it can get crowded with a line forming outside but it really depends on the timing. We had no problem on a Friday at 6.
