Kazan is a restaurant that offers a variety of delicious and fresh dishes. A friend's recommendation led to trying out the omakase set, which includes 15 pieces of sushi and a few extras, priced at $96. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, with a good balance of fish and rice. The service was friendly and attentive, with the option to sit anywhere in the empty restaurant upon arrival.
Another visitor came for sushi and ended up ordering a variety of dishes, including the Lion King roll, three some roll, New England clam chowder croquette, tonkatsu ramen soup, and tuna and hamachi toro. The food was fresh and made with quality ingredients, with minimal leftovers. The service was quick and the restaurant was clean and inviting with charming decor.
A different dish that was tried was the sashimi bibimbap, which included a bowl of rice, salad, and sashimi with gochujang sauce. The sashimi was cut unevenly but still delicious. The Last Samurai roll and spicy tuna were also enjoyed. However, the sushi was slightly overpriced, but the sashimi bibimbap was a unique and tasty dish worth coming back for.
