Yesterday we met up with our friends whom we hadn't seen since before the pandemic. That in itself made our dining experience a nice one. Dining here reminded me of my younger days when my family ate here often. My late dad was good friends with the original owner. I think the restaurant is now owned by one of the original owner's sons. We were the only two dine-in tables there on a Saturday night. There were quite a few takeout orders during our 2-2.5 hours there. This place has been a family favorite for the last 20+ years. A must try that requires ordering in advance is the steamed winter melon soup and also the sticky rice stuffed in chicken skin. The dishes that are part of this post were the dishes we enjoyed ringing in the Year of the Dragon. Parking in the neighborhood isn't easy but isn't difficult.
