We have been going to Lokma since it opened a few years back, but lately we go there at least once a week for either a weekday lunch or a Friday dinner. We have grown to know all the servers and have tried most things on the menu. We absolutely love the food (especially all the starters, you really cannot go wrong with any!) and feel at home whenever we dine there. We are so happy to have this gem walking distance from our house. Here is to many more years of Lokma!

The food was absolutely spectacular -- every dish was so creative and delicious. The service, however, was terrible. No one came to take our order or offer to get us a drink. And every time we wanted something, I had to wave the server over. It was very DIY.

Modern twist to Turkish food, which actually works. We had grilled chicken (well seasoned and cooked just right) and moussaka (light on the potatoes and no red sauce which allowed the eggplant and ground meat to show their flavors). The zucchini dolma was an interesting take on the traditional dolma - quite good, though. The Turkish style Tres Leches cake was a good way to end the meal. We'll definitely come back to try other dishes.

We have eaten at Lokma a number of times and it never disappoints. The service is impeccable and the staff so friendly. On this visit, I asked if they were 'really' related and the server stated 'no, but we feel like a family' and that moved me so much that I promised to write it in a review, so I am. We love the food, love the friendliness and are never, never unhappy with a meal here. While I hesitated to write another good review (maybe it will get TOO crowded), I decided not to be selfish and to 'share the wealth'. Thank you for making a relaxing and memorable evening on our SF visit to help out our local family. Sometimes that is just what one needs!!!

Food was excellent in this small neighborhood cafe. This is the kind of place that visitors should see - the good things we have in our neighborhood. (Decor is not fancy, but wait staff are nice and competent and the food shines !)

The warm service and delicious food makes Lokma a hidden neighborhood gem! It is perfect for a quick bite or an elegant extended dinner, which is what we had with our family last night, sharing most of the menu and enjoying it all! We could even hear each other as the tables are widely spaced. Kudos to the cooks and staff!

Amazing food, great and kind service. The manti, trees leches cake were stand outs. Really enjoyed everything else (chicken, lamb chops, short ribs) weee great too.

We had to-die-for muhammara, followed by delicious manti and fabulous karniyarik, with Efes beer. We ended up with tasty baklava, which is served with a refreshing vanilla bean ice cream. Service was friendly and efficient. This remains one of our favorite places in all of San Francisco.
