We came to eat and waited about 30 minutes to be seated. When we were finally called, we were taken to a very small table outside where there was barely enough space to sit comfortably. To make matters worse, there was a dog sitting directly under the table next to us. I am not comfortable with dogs being that close while I’m eating — especially with the possibility of being licked or having them right at my feet. Additionally, my friend is genuinely afraid of dogs, which made the situation even more stressful for her. We politely asked if we could move to one of the side tables instead. Instead of trying to accommodate us, we were told we would need to wait another 30 minutes because the restaurant is “pet friendly.” Being pet friendly is completely fine — we respect that. However, customers who are not comfortable sitting directly next to animals should also be considered. After already waiting 30 minutes, it was disappointing that no alternative seating option was offered, especially when there were two open tables on the other side outside and also inside. As two hijabi Muslim women, it felt like clear discrimination. We simply wanted to enjoy a meal comfortably, but instead we were told to essentially leave.

I discovered Lokma by accident about a year ago. Since then, I've happily eaten there with various friends who are now themselves advocates. The appetizers are not to be skipped! In fact, I've made a meal of them before. The three sauces with warm pita bread are my favorite: muhammara, Baba Ganoush, Tzatziki wake up the taste buds. The Bal and Kaymak pours honey over thick clotted cream for a taste sensation with warm pita. This last time we got 5 appetizers with those two and the calamari, the delicious Presidio salad, shishito peppers. Since we had 6 diners, we had room for entrees. The Manti (Turkish dumplings with ground meat were delish. Everybody had different entrees, from vegetarian to beef. Everything was seasoned with Turkish spices, making a familiar dish something special. The interior is small but beautifully designed so that the noise from other tables didn't interfere with our conversation. I've been to lunch or dinner a half dozen times. Always delivers!

Had my anniversary dinner with my husband at Lokma last night and everything was immaculate. The food was delicious, our wine was amazing, and the service and atmosphere were lovely. Can't wait to return!

The chicken is excellent. So is the burger. Portions are fair for the price. Service staff are friendly.
The food was delicious! I had the lamb chops and loved them. I didn't care for the dessert, Rekni cake, because it was a little too sweet. Otherwise, from appetizers, to drinks, to meals, everything was fabulous!!

Good atmosphere, the food doesn't justify the price. Beef and lamb blend on a burger is fine if you know how to season it. This burger was so dull. I barely made through half of it.

Everything was delicious as usual. But the lamb chops are amazing. Costly but delicious. Parking is getting worse almost impossible. Breakfast lunch/brunch or dinner are all good. Such a charming place, you will enjoy in every way.
