Loooove this bakery. - Fresh buns. NEVER stale! - Best egg tarts in the city. (They are highly underrated.) - Get the baked bbq pork buns AND the pineapple bbq pork buns. - One cashier only. Expect a line and be patient. - Cash only.

Best pork buns EVER. I was recommended to this place many years ago and the quality and taste is always perfection. They're always fresh and the service is always quick. I stopped in today for one last visit (I'm relocating out of state) and the buns were fresh, hot, and as delicious as ever. Highly recommend, 100/10.

Wonderful bakery, traditional Asian pastry. My favorite is the baked pork buns and almond cookies.

Amazing Chinese Egg tart! (These are not Portuguese egg tarts that have the burnt sugar in the middle). Came at 4pm and they had a whole tray of egg tarts. They were VERY good! Buttery, flakey, moist eggie center, and not too sweet. Definitely not frozen like at some dim sum spots. This really hits and it's so nice not having to go into chinatown for egg tarts. Plenty of street parking. Cafe had a lot of elder Chinese people hanging out and playing games. So you know this spot is legit.

I was disappointed the clerk sold my order while I went out for 20 minutes to get cash for it. I understand business necessities but would have appreciated if she didn't pretend she would save it for me.

Im Chinese. I have a culinary background. They know how to make the best dough for all their breads. It's fluffy and buttery and retains its texture even when you push down on it. This place it 100% the best Chinese bakery in the city. Recommend cocktail bun and ham and egg bun. Anything really. Will only eat bread from this place.

A small bakery tucked away in a row of restaurants, but it's not hard to find because the locals know what's up. This place had the best char siu bao I've ever had. The filling to bread ratio was spot on with more filling than bread. The bread itself was lightly crusted and pillowy on the inside. The filling was flavorful and not greasy! I also tried the cocktail bun, green onion bun, egg custard bun, and sponge cake. Everything was delicious! They have options for those who prefer savory treats and for sweet tooth's. The service itself was great. We had a short wait for fresh bao but it was worth it! I also enjoyed watching one gentleman diligently make the bao in the back.

I didn't know there were so many people queuing for such a terrible restaurant. You have to wait 30 minutes to buy a loaf of bread. I don’t know what the front desk is doing, but I take my time throughout the process without caring about the feelings of the customers queuing up. Don't waste your time here when there are so many bakeries around. by the way. The bread here is also terrible.

My go-to for fresh chinese buns or egg tarts. I feel so bad that they had their 3rd break-in. I feel so bad that these mom and pop shops can't afford to fix broken windows. They have the freshest buns. Go early to get what you want. Cocktail buns. They sell out by the end of the day. Yummy!

We were so surprised to see that there is quite a bit of street parking outside! Since we got there right around opening time on a Sat, there wasn't a problem finding parking, it was free, and there wasn't a line for the bakery! The worker was super friendly and quick! I got the charsiu bao, pineapple bun with red bean, and the egg tart. The egg tart was fresh from the oven and still steaming when she handed it to me!! It was piping hot and so steamy and custardy! This is probably the absolute best egg tart I have ever had -- flaky crust, creamy and custardy, not too sweet! The charsiu bao is incredible and the reason I came all the way from Palo Alto! There were a few tables inside but the shop is kinda small and more like a pick up and go kind of place. I took it to Golden Gate Park which is pretty close by. I highly recommend coming here for your baos!

I've driven by this place a million times but never been in but recently due to a recommendation I decided to check it out and I'm glad I did! Their egg yolk bun was so good, I try and not eat too many sweets but I couldn't resist eating two.

The buns and egg tarts taste average. Just a pineapple bun cost $1.65. An egg tar costs $2.08 and is much smaller than another bakery. They make limited BBQ pork buns every day. People are disappointed by wasting their time coming in and can't get the BBQ pork bun.Parking: No parking.

This place is incredible!!!! They keep the pastries warm until you order and it's always best right when they give them to you. My go to order is the pineapple pork bun--sweet, filling, and savory. The perfect breakfast pastry and a bargain at less than $3. Lots of parking around in the morning so it makes a quick but necessary stop!
