Make sure you pay for parking....they will get you. Don't forget to walk along the promenade just outside the presidio visitor center there are Adirondack chairs where you can sit and look at the bridge

Main Parade Lawn is a popular spot in the Presidio, known for hosting a variety of events throughout the year. From runs and food/beverage festivals to music fests, this large lawn area is a versatile venue. Visitors can relax on the large red plastic chairs, soak up the sun, and even bring their dogs to play. The grass is good quality. There are playgrounds nearby at a lower level. Restrooms are available, with very clean portable bathrooms. It is a beautiful area to hang out, picnic, and let the kids run around.
