1. Don’t go to Sam’s Burger just because Anthony Bourdain called it “one of his favorite burgers”.

2. Don’t go because Yelp or online reviews tell you it’s a “must try” San Francisco burger spot either.

Go because some places still remind you what a real burger tastes like when nobody is trying too hard.

Good burger, lots of fries and onion rings, definitely didn't leave hungry, this place hasn't been remodeled since the 70s or so it seems, but that just adds to the atmosphere. Love it will definitely go back!!

I bring everyone who visits me here! Love the simplicity and it's exactly what you want in a diner experience. Nothing fancy, but that's not what it is about, it's about the experience of a good burger and they have a good burger!
