so far my favorite place to get a matcha late in this area of sf!! the warabi mochi is also amazing and a great snack. i was able to customize my sweetness to 25% in the extra comments
Me and a close one were both in the area where we both were craving for something sweet after we had lunch and we came upon this place. I love matcha and we both agreed to give this place a try. If you’re looking for traditional hot matcha, this is spot on. Delicious traditional matcha. Ordered hot matcha and watched them whisk it right up and add a little bit of whip cream on top (by request). Simple, not overly sweet, and FRESH! We’ll be back.

Kiss of Matcha is a matcha cafe located in Chinatown, a short walk from the BART. The space is cute and cozy, with a well-decorated, super tiny atmosphere. There is plenty of seating and a restroom available, though seating is barely available. Orders are placed through a kiosk, with a cashier option also available. Service is efficient, fast, and incredibly efficient for a grab and go, with orders coming very quick once placed, though the line may take some time.
The menu features drinks like the matcha cream latte, blueberry matcha, strawberry matcha latte with matcha cream, matcha Jasmin latte, and matcha soft serve. The matcha flavor is described as good, not the best, and not a super strong matcha, sometimes a bit more grassy and faint, though the soft serve has a strong matcha flavor. Drinks are praised for being delicious, creamy, and having an amazing matcha texture, with perfect balance and not too sweet. Specific highlights include the strawberry purée complement and the nice flavor combination of the Matcha Jasmin latte with oat milk and matcha cream, which offers a perfectly balanced, smooth, and not too sweet taste. The matcha soft serve is also very good. The main drawback noted is that items are a bit pricey, and the caffeine may keep you up at night. Overall, it is considered a 10/10 Matcha cafe that is totally worth it.
