sushi is my favorite so i was sad i couldn't share that with my vegetarian partner. i also didn't have a high image of veg sushi before i came here... but we went to celebrate and it was so good. a nice spot for a special night out, especially if you're a vegan or vegetarian.

We had high hopes for this restaurant and it did not disappoint except for the Ramen. We started with the tofu katsu appetizer and it was amazing. We ordered plate after plate of sushi for the entire length of our hour and a half reservation. The sweet potato roll and eggplant nigiri was the standout heavy hitters but I doubt there is a single plate of sushi that we wouldn't recommend. The ramen was not very edible and tasted identical to Tane Vegan Izakaya's ramen. The special dessert of strawberry ice cream with fried mochi topped with sweet red bean paste was simply incredible. We would have ordered many more if we hadn't run out of time. Our favorite restaurant of the San Francisco and Sacramento area.

They create beautifully crafted sushi using a variety of plant-based ingredients and creamy tofu, with colorful and elegant presentation. The food is inventive and satisfying, making it a top choice for anyone looking for plant-based sushi. The only downside is the spaceātables are packed a bit too close together, and the noise level can get high. Itās hard not to overhear conversations from nearby tables. Still, the overall experience is excellent. Solid 4 out of 5.

We had a good experience at Shizen on a Sunday night. We managed to get a last-minute reservation and were impressed with the food and ambiance, though the service was just okay. We could not find street parking, so we opted for the paid parking lot next to the restaurant which was 20$. Coming to the dishes we tried:
Boddy and , this was best amongst the dishes we tried with great flavors.
Open invitation: 5/5, looks great and tastes equally good.
Sweet potato roll: 4/5, this classic roll was good but felt the specialty rolls were better.
Mushrooms and both were underwhelming and a bit bland.

Just wow. Plant based sushi and ramen that will have you coming back at least weekly. The mushroom tofu roll (proud peacock) is excellent and the garlic ramen is excellent easily one of the best in the city. Top class service; A +++
