So fun to have so many options for sushi! The vibe is relaxed and busy. The Candlestick was our favorite and we liked the rolls better than the nigiri. The kara age were the best we’ve ever had. And we got a mochi dessert!

All the speciality rolls were simply the best I've had. One of the best vegan restaurants I've been to.

Brought someone who didn't believe in vegan sushi and was amazed! Ambience was beautiful with those wooden beams. Will return with others!

The food here was amazing! I'm not vegan but eat it often at home with my parents. I love to try new things and the flavors and ingredients used at Shizen were great. The eggplant nigiri and the special roll Missing Piece were my favorites. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived but we didn't mind. We got sat at the bar and the service was on point. I'd like to come back to try all the other dishes!

Had my eyes on this one for a really long time!
We were lucky enough to get a bar- table as walk-in on a busy Saturday night…
They screwed up the most loved and basic dish of any pan-asian/sushi place - garlic edamame. There was something extremely tart/soir in all of their dishes that was overpowering all other flavours. Maybe to compensate for the rich umami flavour of actual sushi, they aded some vinegar/chemically sour base to all dishes and that was a buzz kill.
Ordered 3 rolls and just liked one out of those. Appreciate the effort of using tomato skin as salmon substitute but raw tomato on a sushi tastes bad!! Trust me. The eggplant used in the sushi topping was chewy like a gummy bear.
Their tempura sushi was decent called Body and Soul. I usually like veg sushi rolls…
Yakisoba had that vinegar base to it again, unappetising.
Would not recommend this place even if u r a real sushi lover(even if its veg)

So happy I got to finally try this spot! Everything we got was delicious! The service was incredible and we didn’t have to wait for a table since we showed up right as they opened on a weekday.

I went alone to have a nice meal. I checked in and was told 20 minutes. I walked around the block, and a text came that there's a seat. It was packed. Not an empty seat. Thank goodness, if they keep it up, they will be open for a long time. I ordered the spicy miso garlic ramen. This was perfectly cooked noodles, a very spicy broth (I was coughing and my eyes watering), with corn, bamboo shoots, tofu chatsu and a huge tempura mushroom. The waitress asked if I would like soymilk. I guess from our chat, it was not the first time this happened. The staff BTW, was so friendly. I was so impressed by this homemade tender and smoky tofu chatsu (that looks like pork belly) that I got an order to go (with the other half of my ramen at home), a great portion. This will be a regular visit to try all the rolls with a group of people. Suggestion: make reservations. Be hungry. Spicy means very spicy, IMO. And oh yeah, this place is 100% vegan. Yum. Yeah. Bravo. Ok, added a picture of my leftovers w the smoky tofu.

Fantastic place for vegan sushi- one of the best in the country I’ve tried so far. Highlights is their kaarage, and “spicy tuna/crab soy mix” amazing flavors.
We came in on a Sunday at 7 with 3pax- got in the queue since there was an 8pm seating cancellation - walked around the mission for a half hour.
Note that they don’t answer their phone- go in or make a reservation in advance

We really enjoy this vegan sushi experience. The candlestick is by far my favorite, but there are at least 7 or 8 of their specialty rolls which we regularly get
