A real San Fransisco institution! We got seated promptly and the waiter (Brian) was quick to take our drink order and make outstanding recommendations. The menu is extensive, with choices to please every palate. The service was timely without feeling rushed and I would wholeheartedly recommend to any new visitor to SF.
A San Francisco classic. My Dad dined here in the 1960s, and told me that we need to visit and have the Cioppino. in 2025, it's still the best I've had anywhere in the country! My wife had a wonderful simply grilled sea bass that was excellent too. Our service was excellent as well. There are truly a number of reasons that this is California's oldest restaurant. Thank you!
Always reliable in food and service. Was not disappointed. Restaurant was hopping and yet service was quick and food was great. Branzino cooked perfectly, clam chowder thick and full of clams, salads crisp and fresh. An institution.
