We go to Tad’s regularly and are in love! Their food is exceptional. The hamburger steak breakfast has deep flavor, especially with their glorious beef gravy. I always get extra gravy! Their service matches their food with a positive upbeat vibe. Kitchen staff are regularly singing away, probably because they’re having fun. These are just a few reasons why Tad’s is so successful since the 1950’s! Go there!

The food is very tasty and don't forget to try an espresso drink here. I order the Iced Mocha and it's better than all the coffee places nearby! (A man, who I think is in charge, told me it's because of the double shot of espresso)
Great service. Yes, you order at the counter and pay first, but they check on you often and clear plates away as needed. Today it looked like a newer employee was in the dining room. He was working hard yet didn't forget to smile and ask me if I enjoyed the food as he cleared my tray.
The other staff has been here for a long time which is something I notice and it must be a nice place to work. When I left, the cooks say goodbye and thanked me for coming. The steak sandwich with fries was well worth the cost of around 20 dollars.

I had dinner at Tad’s Steakhouse two days ago, and the steak was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steak in a welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely little diner with plenty of space and sports on tv screens. Large portions and friendly staff. For some reason they requested we approach the counter to order having been shown to our seats. Strange and unnecessary. They also charged a small fortune for the smallest cup of OJ I've ever seen.They still want a standard tip though. Toilets are clean and accessible for people with mobility issues. Nice food
No. Just no. We both got the Tad's "famous steak dinner" and it was terrible. Tough and loaded with gristle. Spend the extra $20 and go to John's Grill across the street. The difference is like night and day.

Tad's used to be around the corner on Powell Street with upstairs and downstairs seating area. We would all go as a big group, even had a few Birthday parties in the upstairs area at the old location. This new location is beautiful! Very modern and with a full bar. The food was just as good as it was when my Mom and Dad would come to Tad's before I was even born. San Francisco born and raised and Tad's has always hands down been my favorite restaurant.

Received a recommendation for this restaurant so was hopeful of a decent meal. The steak menu was limited so opted for the tads famous steak. Very disappointing piece of meat large bone dominated the steak. Not particularly tasty. Skin on fries were good and others who had chicken club said that was very nice. Salad also good, only rated 3 as I was hopeful of a good steak which it wasn’t . If I had been grading the others in my group who enjoyed their meal would be slightly higher. But as a whole 3 it is.
